backing plate to what ? does it go on the inside of the rover?safari guards instructions dont even talk about it. atleast i didnt see it.

The instructions aren't the greatest, but step 10 and 11 pretty much cover it. Yes, it goes on the inside of the rover.

I love the bracket, though it wont fit on with my SD rear ladder on now! I bought the ladder and Shawn's mount at the same time so I didn't know if it would go on or not.

Ok, I installed one on my 110 this morning (just with a CB antennae for now). I like it, but would make 2 changes if you are considering another run..

1. I'd make the wiring hole 3/4" - I had to drill mine out that size to get the coax cable head through it.

2. At first glance I thought the backing plate was overkill. After the install I think it's too small There is still a fair amount of body movement when you whip the antennae. Maybe another 2-3 inches taller to spread the force across the aluminum (it doesn't need to be that thick though).

no pics yet, but not much to see.
