RRC Leather Seats

I have a set, both front and rear bench, brown leather seats from a 1993 RRC LWB I was going to use on my Disco I and now they are junk in my garage.

These are to big to ship or RURR.

I can bring them to HH.

Ray isn't that good, but thank you.

Are these "plug and play" into an SD D1? Just curious. I'll try and find time to roll up to your place. I have to hit Tony's as well.

Wait, can you send me a pic? I just noticed they are "brown leather" and I need tan leather.

you already said you wanted them....in Pedro's world that means they are yours - or you pay him to keep them now!

They are the light brown. No tears, just the usual old age surface cracks. I treated them with lots of Lexol so they are in fairly good nick, with the rear being the best of course. The fronts work, and the switches are clean and function. If the 2 place seat/mirror computer is connected the seat will go to the two presets. The heater elements have failed of course. The trim surround was good at my last seeing them.
All in all a good set. Not spectacular, but not shabby.

Ray's good enough to know how these seats fit into a D1...whether they are plug and play, and what color they are....

Just saying.

Damn you. Okay, you win. Ray is good. There, I said it.

With that said, any idea if they would function in a bare bones SD?

It looks like Tony is getting a nice set of seats and Charles/Bill are drinking for free

Seriously... In Dweb they claim it's a PnP thing.

If you are nice to Ray, he might chime in.

Um, thanks, I think.

If the seats are "tan" and will "plug and play" in my SD, I'll take 'em. If not, I'll ditch them on the side of 95 like everyone else.

If it helps, I'll only need them for a month or so and then they'll be back up for grabs.

Jon-
What year is your Disco?
It has cloth seats in there now from the factory, yes?

My concern is that you don't have the pigtails for the seat power nor seat switches, not to mention the heater function. Without the first two you are kinda f'd...without the last, you may as well just be driving a defender.

It's a '96 SD with manual leather seats. Lemme go out and peek under the seats...
