Ah, older brothers.
Your profile says you were born in 1983... so 6 years old in 1989.
(I suspect Mom had no knowledge of your doorless travels at the time?)

I don't see why they would not work on a series if you used the proper striker. The doors are basically the same.

Does anyone know any history on these things? And if they would work on a series w/old type of lock system?

I see jeeps all the time with no doors on in jersey. Was unware of any law on the books about not having doors on in a vehicle.
Jeeps are legal to run door less in NJ because you need a certain amount of metal from the ground up... and you need side mirrors... defenders are flush when you take the doors off... but these things would probably work since they are actually doors.

Chris,
I'll take a set if you still have some. I may be heading to Hidden Falls tomorrow, and spending the night. I could pick them up Sunday morning if you are available. Give me shout (817.475.9346) or PM at the Texasrovers.com site.
Thanks.
David

Its not illegal to run without doors on any vehicle with them removable from the factory. As long as you have 2 rearward facing mirrors (and seatbelts on) you're good to go.

Ok here are the pictures of the 2 set I have here at my place.
One set is for a SW and the other set is for a ST. The only difference between the ST and SW sets are the latch mounts, pictured in the first picture showing the different position of the 2 doors. In the 2nd picture you can see there is no other difference in the rest of the design and the panels seem to be interchangeable with the frames.

Both sets I have include the bag of hardware and directions to install (3rd picture)

The last 2 pictures are of the panel sets for the doors, one set of the solid (in the ST set), one set of the mesh (in the SW set).

I should have more info and pictures tomorrow on the 2 sets my friend has at his place, all I know is has a bat panel set, the other has the spider web like pictured in my previous post.

Three sets have been paid for/payment pending. One set still available.

Lane there is a bat wing and a spider web set at my friends place. I should have pictures on Saturday for you. I actually dont know what the difference is between the 2 panel sets. They very well could be the same pattern as in the previous pictures. I should know more tomorrow.
