hitch

Got mine yesterday. Very stout, nice finish, and included all the necessary bolts, nuts, washers. Let me know if you make up any bumperettes (like the attached image) for a 90.

Do anyone know if this hitch will work on a S3 military rear crossmember. I have a nato hitch in place on the rear crossmember.

I've been studying a few pics to try and answer this question without actually having a SIII ExMod to fit the hitch to.

Here's the military crossmember as viewed from the back:

That pic is nice because it shows how you would fit the backing plate. The bolt pattern looks to be the NATO standard and the crossmember height looks right for the receiver hitch.

In contrast, if we look at this civilian SIII crossmember with another aftermarket receiver fitted:

The bolt spacing looks wrong and the crossmember appears too tall.

It's hard to say without physically mocking it up, but it looks like a go on the ExMod truck.

Thats what I figured for the height of the crossmember. Wasnt sure for the bolt placement.
