not while shifting but rather when you let the clutch back out. See the Evil Fiji's post as well

John

You can drive the truck next week. I am out of town till next Tues.

I replaced the rear ball joint. BCS said they thought I needed that input gear a long time ago but they wanted to do a full transmission rebuild to replace that gear and empty my wallet.

They also wanted to rebuild my swivel housings instead of draining the oil and filling with grease. Thanks.

Going to order the gear, bearings, seal and do this.

Ordered input gear, bearings and seal. Last time I filled tranny with redline I remember using a pump and it being a total pain. How much redline do I need again? Would it be easier to fill through inside the truck where the cubby box is? I have it out now anyway.

Ron sorry for hijacking your thread.

Pump is the easiest. Not sure how much because you have the cooler (D90s do not have the cooler). Four quarts should be enough.
