Psyoptic Development XD Rock Sliders pre-order

Since there was some interest after I sold my last set of sliders last week, I've decided to put this offer out there for anyone else who wants a set of sliders for their Defender 90 to be ready for Spring time wheeling. This will be the last batch I do for a while, as I want focus on 110 stuff, bumpers, and some other stuff...

Here's the deal:

These are the toughest rock sliders you will ever find for your defender, and 110% made in the USA. These are designed to handle the toughest off-road conditions, and will soundly demolish any car door that dares open too far in the mall parking lot. They double as a side-step and serve as a great platform for reaching your roof rack, or taking the top on or off of your D90 Soft top. They will also get you laid.

The sliders are 100% constructed from laser cut and CNC formed 0.250" thick steel plate. Most of the other sliders currently on the market are 1.5 - 2mm or ~0.079" thick. In other words my sliders are 3X thicker, and substantially stronger. They are also the ONLY Defender rock slider to my knowledge to feature a true boat-sided design as well as 3 solid frame mounting points per side. These will fit any Defender 90 with a rear mounted gas tank.

These are NOT cheap, thin-wall, thin-tubed, mall crawler, poser-spec, import garbage steel rock sliders like so many of the offerings currently on the market.

I require a $200 deposit to secure your set, and you can expect a ~4 week delivery time. The balance will be paid when the sliders are crated up and ready to ship.

Total cost for the XD sliders is $1000 + shipping

Got back from the South and had two heavy-ass boxes sitting in my office. These things look to be as solid as they come.

If anyone is going through the install process, please take pictures along the way. Or if anyone has photos of the mounting position of the finished product, that would be really handy and greatly appreciated.

I'm going to work on making my instructions better with what install pics I have, I typically never take pics as I've installed them. If anyone can provide me some additional pics that would be great.. As always with my stuff I provide 24/7 support, everyone that bought a set of sliders has my phone number and I will happily walk you through the install no matter what time of day/night you may decide to do it.

Out of interest, is there any development plans for defender 90s with the right hand side mounted fuel tank?

Absolutely, I just need to get a hold of a 90 with a side mount tank that I can borrow.

And before someone asks, yes the 110 stuff really is coming. Stay tuned for some updates in the coming weeks. For real.

Just wanted to put in a plug for Jon. These sliders are works of art. Further, he called me late in the evening to walk me though a few steps along the way. Can't wait to see what he cooks up next.

And for those of you who have yet to install, the only difficult part for me was putting in the rear brackets. had to use a Dremel and grind smooth the welds in the tube, and it still took a sledgehammer to get them in. Even with my fingers in splints after hitting them with a sledge, i was able to do the rest of it in an hour.

Really impressive work, Jon

X2 plug for Jon. Sliders are fantastic and well worth the money. Easy install, rear bracket went in easy with the help of a C-Clamp, some cleanup of the inside of the tube, and Anti-Seize lube spread inside.
