I had planned on building my very own camping/hauling trailer from parts left over from the restore of my '66 IIA.
Well, 7 years have come and gone and the parts are still just sitting there. In fact, it seems the parts have outlasted my marriage. So... In the wake of having to move myself and all my Land Rover parts, I'm offering up the parts I know I can't easily store in a 2bd apt.
- rear tub of a SWB, Series IIA
- rear axle, drum to drum
- two Series 16" LR wheels, may need fresh powdercoat, or use as is
- virtually new, never mounted rear springs
Just buy a rear crossmember from Atlantic British for less than $200, build or have someone build a small frame, perhaps from 2x4 box steel, buy a hitch, wire it up, and voila!
If someone is interested in the lot for $1000, let's chat. Shipping is next to impossible due to the cost, so pick up is in Los Angeles area and hopefully before 10/31. I might be able to convince her to let me store it here until I can find a buyer.
Also, I have a non-safari hard top left over from the restore that I can't easily convert into a bachelor pad decoration, so it must go. I'm hoping to get at least $500 and will will include the full size rear door.
I also have front springs I can throw in with either sale. PM if interested.
