hose update

I have several sets of donor serpentine belt hoses, one set done, but I am in need of v-belt donor hoses. I'll pay freight, work a deal, something to get them flowing in. I'm trying to avoid buying new hoses to cut up!.

Last weekend, I just replaced the two hoses on my '95 SWB RRC (3.9L). Would you like those? Let me know and I'll dig them out of the trash. Whoops, come to think of it, that's a serpentine belt isn't it?

I've got V-belt hose on my 94D90, but it's also my daily driver. Could you do a swap at your shop for the right price? I'm in Northern VA and I think you're up in Baltimore, right?

Trevor, I have a set off of an 88 RRC (don't ask, long story) if the fittings will help you or are compatable, they're yours, just let me know.

I would be willing to take whatever is available. I'm going to go ahead and buy 2 sets of v-belt hoses to get the show going.
I will follow up in a few days.

Trevor, someone suggested it already. Why dont you have a core charge? $215 if you provide your old hoses as a core swap, more if not? That should give you a good supply long term.

gulp, i have a 99 disco1 but would like to upgrade and reroute my houses along the frame and then have the oil cooler mounted higher up the grill so i can tuck a winch in there.

can i use your hoses for this? i guess i 'll wait till you make the normal hoses before i special order.

Ok. Bill Bettridge is dropping off the -8 adapters (instead of the -6, makes for a one less reducer fitting and consistent hose sizing) tonight.

I've got a set of braided for a '93 110. Just swapped them out because of relocation of the oil cooler. Made by Rover Accessories. $150 plus shipping...

I owe an apology to everyone who inquired about the oil cooler hoses. I haven't had an opportunity to develop anything further. The regular Rover business has been growing, and with a 6 month old at home, I haven't had a lot of spare time.
The few that we made up by using the original rover pipes and than welding on the JIC adaptors worked very well, and simplified the assembly. There is a fair amount of variety which was making it difficult to prepare enough to cover the volume.
A local hose shop should be able to duplicate our efforts quite easily.
Sorry again for the failure to follow through.
Trevor

OK just an idea for all, I have a set of 3.9 oil cooler hoses that are free to use. If someone wants the set they only need shipping, then they can have that set rebuilt and on their next oil change they can swap hose's. Then they take their old hose's and ship them off to who ever is next on the list. Does this sound good to anyone? I'll start a new post in looking for help and make it a sticky if enough people want to do this?

I love this idea, put me in line. Also if we find a shop that does this well and is willing to do more, and shipping is reasonable, we could just ship direct to them, and have them ship out to an alternate address no?

I was thinking the same thing, if someone knows of a shop that will do it for cheap.
