I am away from my NAS D90 wagon and won't be able to look at it until after the mounting kit ordering window closes. What are the forum thoughts for best mounting locations for driver/front passenger accessibility that minimize loss of space? Thanks

I realize it is awfully short notice, but I will also be making a 2" roll bar kit to work with the quick release mounts. If you're interested, let me know ASAP. Manufacturing will begin on Monday for these kits.

Brian,

I am interested in a set of mount, but am not sure which size (ie where to mount the extinguishers so they minimize space loss) in a D90. Any thoughts?

Now you've given me another mounting option? Has you tried different locations on the defender? Any pics you can post?

@ ruggedalaskaman - The only specific mounting location I've heard from D90 members is on the bar behind the passenger's seat which requires the 1.5" kit. Maybe some others can chime in with where they intend to mount theirs.

Roverenvy, sorry to introduce the 2.00" version so late in the game. Since these haven't been manufactured yet, I don't have any pics of installations in different locations of a defender. I'm hoping the owners here will post up some pics once they receive their kit and get them installed. If you want to change your order to a 2.00" kit, just let me know and I'll take care of it. They're all the same price.

I actually sent an email about an hour ago to the machine shop to find out what the current status is. I'll give you guys an update when I hear back from them.

The machine shop said that they're working on them right now which is awesome because their initial ETA was 5 weeks. They should be done with them in the next day or two, so I'll get them off to anodizing as quickly as possible.

I didn't hear back from the machine shop as quickly as I had hoped, but they did contact me yesterday and let me know that the parts would be done by this Friday at the latest. I'm out of town for work right now, but it won't have delay getting these parts done. I will have them delivered to the anodizer as soon as I can. With any luck, I will be home by the time they are ready to ship. Sorry for the small delay everyone.

As promised, the machine shop just let me know the roll bar kits were ready to be picked up. Since I'm still out of town, I've got someone going to pick them up for me as we speak, but they won't be able to deliver them to the anodizers for me until Monday. I'll post up some pics as soon as I have them.

I delivered the parts to the laser marker yesterday afternoon. He's going to try to get them back to me tomorrow because I will have to leave town again on Saturday. With any luck everyone's parts will be shipped on Friday.

Brian - got my parts today. They look great and I can't wait to install tomorrow. Shipping was quick and I really link the quality of the parts and design. Well done.

Mounted mine up a month ago and went on our road trip.... Actually needed the extinguisher on a trail ride when the guy ahead of me stalled out with smoke pouring from his engine compartment! I peeled the extinguisher free and ran up to him - it was only steam, he overheated.... as I thought. But having the extinguisher handy may have saved $$$$$$

I'll get a pic posted soon..

Brian: Got mine yesterday also. Looks great, finish is excellent. Won't go up in my rig for a while, but at least it's here. Thank you.

I was initially a doubter, but these look fantastic!

Great job planning a product, prototyping, and selling it! Truly impressed here....
