All orders have been dropped off at the post office with the exception of the two international shipments.

Agreed. The more I think about it, due to the generic nature, it should have been a kickstarted/indigogo type project!

hmmmm....can't wait to see what folks think about them. Once known I will have to order a couple if they turn out real nice.

So what would be the "new" price for two shipped to Virginia?

Most likely it will be the flashlight mount. I already have one that I designed, and have been using for quite a while. It is just a plastic version that I printed off on the 3D printer, but it functions very well and I don't see any reason to change the design anymore. I can't start manufacturing it until I sell quite a few more of these extinguisher mounts though. All of my money is tied up in the extra units I had to have made in order to get the prices down to where they are.

Starting tomorrow, the price will be $74.95 per quick release mount and the shipping will remain the same @ $11.30. I can fit up to 6 in one medium flat rate box. If you order more than 6 at a time, you will need to add in an additional $11.30 for every group of 6.

I've got them up on a couple of other forums and on my website for now, but I've got some other potential leads at a few retail places as well as a very large unnamed (for now) online retailer that specializes in off road/4 wheel parts.

At the moment I have 95 left, but I also have roughly another 150 mounts worth of extrusion left that is partially machined. I could have the additional 150 mounts ready to sell within roughly 2-3 weeks.

Anybody want to buy a whole bunch?

I see that many peoples orders are already out for delivery this morning. I had hoped to get a guide posted up by now to show how to properly locate the band clamps on the extinguisher, but I've been really busy with trying to get my own truck back on the road since I shipped everyone's orders.

Properly locating the bands is a very important step to ensure that your extinguisher is as secure in the mount as it should be. Improperly locating them will allow more mass on one end vs the other, and could possibly allow the extinguisher to move within the mount in a wreck, or if you take a hard hit while off road.

I will try to get a video put together at some point today for your guys.

Here's the video guide for installing the protective film and band clamps on your extinguisher.

To keep it from sliding up and down, or forward and backwards.

Does anyone have any installed pics yet? I'd love to see them.

Just as a reminder to those looking to purchase now, the new price is $74.95 + $11.30 shipping, total $86.25 for 1 mount.

David at Urban just received mine (thanks for redirecting). But I think it'll be a few weeks before he's ready to install. I'm considering starting a thread for my rebuild, but either way I'll post pictures here. I'm wondering if I've got proper clearance on the roll bar that crosses alongside the rear quarter panel on '94 NAS 90's. I would love to see pictures of it installed behind one of the front seats.

Since nobody else has posted any install pics yet, I though I would kick it off with my install, which happens to be the reason this entire project began almost 2 years ago.

For those who aren't aware of how this began, I made a prototype of this mount to install my extinguisher in my RX7, and due to the immediate interest that everyone who saw it had, I never got around to installing it in my car. I was constantly using it to develop a production version, and never even got around to making the seat mount I wanted to use with it so that it would always be in the same spot (in relation to the seat position) regardless of where the seat was adjusted to. I spent a few hours yesterday and today fabricating up the seat mount portion, and tested the fit. Next time I have some parts anodized, I'll pull it back out and anodize it black as well.

Here's the bracket, partially cleaned up.

Mounted to the seat.

Extinguisher mount installed.

Back in the car.

Just in case you're wondering what the rest of the car looks like, here's a shot from the Hooter's car show...
