New take-off Defender roll-up door window regulators - For Sale

Pair of new take-off window regulators (winder mechanisms) from a set of new take-off doors I recently had painted and installed. I then put in power windows for grins and these stock regulators were removed! I’ll dig around and try to find the winder handles, too and throw those in as well.

I figure someone here can use/hoard them, and I’m finally about to move and need to shed some garage stuff.

$75 shipped!

Thanks for your interest.

Bump! Is my price out to lunch?

These are from the newer-style (Td5) doors.

I doubt it, seems totally reasonable. But there probably is not much demand due to the prevalence of those doors. Probably not many people with shells looking to do build-ups and they are to new to be worn out. Good luck with it, enjoy the power windows!

Might have to do what I did when I put power regulators in my new doors....I "donated" them to one of our parts vendors... I doubted I would ever find someone who needed them in the US for quite a while...

What have you done about the holes in the panels? Haven't done anything to mine yet, I used some black plastic lids off of a couple of cans of dip several years ago on an old G-Wagen, thought about trying that again......I jokingly threatened to swap panels with Wifey's 110, but she didn't think that was very funny.

Hi, Winn-

The kits I've installed in both my rides came with cool little black hole covers similar to ones I've seen in photos of the "Japanese"-spec (NAS) trucks from 97.

What I may do is take the interior trim off the older-style doors I'm listing in another post and compare them to see how/if they're that different. More to follow!

What power window kit did you use? I have been looking at some of the set ups from the UK but just not sure about the reliability of them.

Saw some pics a while back on a Uk forum, the trim is different between a steel door and an older one.

------ Follow up post added July 10th, 2012 04:44 PM ------

I bought a pair of new AllMakes regulators off of EbayUK (new style doors)

The original ones I used in my older doors were an aftermarket setup made by SPAL, and they've worked great for four years using the original manual regulators via the crank assembly minus the handle, basically.

On the two sets of newer Td5 doors, I also bought kits from the UK via Ebay. I don't remember the first set's manufacturer, but I do remember that they had "Made in Italy" stamped on them, as I made a joke concerning superior design and speed but perhaps questionable reliability. (Think Ferrari, older Ducati, etc) ! They've actually worked great. It's the exact same set that was shown being installed in one of the LRO/LRM/LRsomething magazines late last year. (I remember when, as I was reading the magazine over and over again in Iraq waiting for the war to end.)

For the second pair (which I just ordered and they're still enroute for delivery this week), I bought just the regulators, which I believe to be factory parts, as I already have all the wiring, switches, etc. I did previously. It was a lot cheaper than buying the whole kit, and from photos, I'm pretty sure they're the same "Made in Italy" power regulators I bought for my other truck's doors.

Still have the wind-up regulators available if someone can use them.

Hello folks.

At a few PM requests, here is another photo I just took a few minutes ago of one of the winder/regulator mechanisms. I had two sets of these which are from identical sets of new, take-off doors. This one is from the set I had easily accessible for the photo.

They're unused take-offs, and have been stored wrapped in paper in all their manufacturing oil and grease sheen as can be seen in the photo since I pulled them.
