New Defender Doors $1750

New take off doors from 2014. These are off a Puma Tdci but will fit all defenders. They are galvanized steel frames and skins. The doors are in excellent condition but there are some scuffs on one door card and a very small dent on the outside. It is hard to even see the dent but want full disclosure. I'll gladly send pics if interested. I've discounted the doors to reflect the imperfections. Great chance to upgrade. Doors are standard white.
Price = $1750
Shipping = $250
Local pickup and RURR welcome. May be able to meet near Charlotte or Atlanta.
*please check your bank account and marriage status before "licking" them.
$200 nonrefundable deposit required to hold.
PayPal as "gift" or cash only.

New Defender Doors $1750

I got the doors but a little dinged up. Anyone know of s tool to straighten the corners? This should've shipped freight and not UPS. Click image for larger version

Oh, no! That's the leading edge, too! Not that it matters really. I'd file a claim asap! Those got corner dropped, hard. Damn UPS Neanderthal's. Did the other survive?

That's good, but they are still suppose to be NTO doors for $1k ea. shipped. That damage is inexcusable!

I'm not happy about it either.
Wrapped doors in foam, sandwiched in foam board, added hard cardboard corner supports, wrapped in cardboard, and banded it. Shipped 1 door at a time and was told the first door arrived fine before shipping second door.

Oh, it's not the sellers fault. I'd be pissed at the shipper! There's no connection these days between getting the job done and getting it done right! Delivering A-B regardless of the items condition upon arrival is bs.

I was advocating filing a claim against ups. They've destroyed two soft tops in transit to me and a number of other items I can't even remember. I can't even accept a delivery now without opening it on site. I'm almost surprised when I get something undamaged.

There probably needs to be a sticky thread on the proper way of building a flat wood crate to ship doors. This corner banging problem seems to be extremely common on shipped doors. Virtually every single "door for sale" thread on D-90 is along the lines of: "New NTO doors for sale (with a small corner ding)"

My guess is that foam and cardboard is not sufficient to support a corner drop of a 50 lb door onto concrete. After a 3 foot drop, the corner of the door would pretty much go through foam like a hot knife through butter. I'm guessing it's the weight of the door that supplies the majority of the energy.
