NEW D90 Rear Lamp Guards

I'm new to the forum but I've had these for a while and just recently found them buried in my storage.

These are NEW (STC1373G) set of rear lamp guards. I'm getting sick of people low-balling me on eBay, so I came to where the real enthusiasts are at. My asking price is $200 shipped.

PM me and give me a serious offer and we can work something out.

I sell lots of Land Rover parts on eBay if you're unsure on whether or not I'm a legit seller. Take a look at my account 'rovermichael' on eBay to assure yourself if needed. Again, thanks for taking time to look.

eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LAND-ROVER-DEFENDER-90-REAR-LAMP-GUARDS-BLACK-D90-1994-1995-1997-/271251581698?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &fits=Model%3ADefender+90&hash=item3f27daab02&vxp= mtr

You can view the images of item on the eBay page as I'm not 100% on how to properly upload on forum without having them take up the whole screen.

If you would like to do a transaction outside of eBay, let me know and I'll provide a paypal e-mail. If you would like the quickest response, contact me through eBay as I get updates on my phone. I will check this thread regularly every hour or so. Thanks agian!

Could not figure out how to edit above post, but I also forgot to mention that I will end the item listing if a defendersource member would like to purchase if item has not sold. Thanks for taking time to read.

EDIT: These are NEW OLD STOCK.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. I've tried to do a lot of research, but I'm only able to see what people have paid and sold them for. I know that I got them for $150 when they were still being sold and manufactured. I've seen people pay $75 for some new ones, and I've seen some people pay $170. So really I cannot be too sure because it's hard to compare it with hard evidence. I'm only asking $200 because I see a lot of people want these in good condition or new, but there aren't many new ones laying around anymore. So really, it's up to you if you think it's overpriced or a good deal. I've been offered $55, and also $150 but I'm not really in a hurry to sell it. So if you're interested or want to make me an offer, just let me know.

Do you have all the hardware? They came new with rivnuts, bolts, and plastic caps. That affects value.

I'll give you 151 dollars plus shipping costs, which should be negligible UPS ground. FYI, I got my hand slapped for not trying to sell things for a firm price on here. I was gently reminded myself that this isn't ebay. I agree that it's hard to determine the price of something and you could end up trying to overcharge or dramatically undercharge. I.e. if you had a second gas tank, they don't make them anymore, I bet that if someone needed one bad enough they'd pay you quite a bit for it. But, anyway, frowned upon a bit on this site. I might suggest having people make you offers through private messages and sell to the most serious bidder instead of doing it in the public forum.

selling

Kelly,
In regard to your comment sometimes a work around is post your firm price and if you don't get any action we do what is called a "bump". We go to our for sale thread and knock a certain amount of and see if anyone bites.
I have posted some brand new seats for $155 plus shipping. no action.
I opened my post and in the message said "bump" and reduced the price.
you may eventually sell it or not want to bump it any lower and keep it until someone finds the post and offers you your price.

good to know, thanks. Yep, I'm not new to this site but new to selling and buying on the site. So understanding protocol is good. do not wish to upset the apple cart as this site is invaluable for gaining advice on how to buy things, fix things etc. my goal is to always be a good citizen of the site.

I do not have the hardware, but to my understanding the hardware that comes with it would be a hassle and most people prefer stainless to avoid rust. And to kelly, the item would be shipped from 84107. I usually prefer not to use UPS ground due to lots of issues with them being an eBay seller.

kudos on the 24 extra bucks, I wish I saw the bump but somehow missed it. something should always be worth what somebody else is willing to pay for it. that's how the stock market works. it's called an efficient marketplace. I'll find another one.

I love it, 9 posts, all about trying to get top dollar for 1 item, and then being smug about selling it.

I was thinking the same thing but I am glad someone opened their mouth first. In life is it always about "being on top of the hill with no place for friends to stand beside you" or karma. I'll take the karma route.

now now don't get that song it my head. It will stick like the "you spin me right round baby, right round" one as well.

Bring back the hair bands and the "swatch watches"!

diplomacy

all of this was my attempt to be neutral and diplomatic. yes, it's not fun losing out on something you want over 24 bucks. If he'd countered my 151 offer right away with 175 I'd of taken it and we'd have been all done. congrats to the seller and buyer and upward and onward to everyone else. life is too short for anything else.

Or the Meow Mix jingle....

And I'm sure those 1/4 inch wire guards aren't really going to do much except bend to bits and your lamp's gonna get mushed anyway. Least that's what I've seen of other lamp "guards".

Lol at least it might have been mushed more evenly. Plus then I'd have to replace the guard and the lamp. I just probably saved money by having a losing bid .

kelly- besides I am will Bill as you have to drill holes in the body and if you get sick of them then crap...one more hole to fill.
Hell throw diplomacy to the wind, just flame the guy - total roast, go on a tyraid - it all is in good fun. Besides, another pair of these will pop up and you can drill 6 holes in your 94. They do tend to rot over time as water gets between the plastic coat and the metal so you end up having a wavy pair of gaurds.
