NAS D90 chassis excellent shape

This frame is a 8 out of 10! Little to no surface rust. It has been stored inside for the past eight years just like you see it in the pic. Not wrecked. This is Jim Cheney's old frame from when he done the Tdi conversion. Shipping is going to be hard but not impossible.

C'mon Chris - you gotta show the "Impulse Ride" sticker on the back!

Anyhow, I'd buy that chassis back in a minute if shipping to Germany wasn't such a hassle!

Yes, buy it Jim C! So that I can pay Jim P. The frame is just as you left it. Not one drop of water has hit it.

Tempting. I'm still debating whether or not I want to convert Jill's yellow truck into a d100 soft top, and it would be awesome to put her back on her original chassis. Jim P could put the 300tdi motor mounts on it for me as well.

Just to totally hijack this, I wonder what the best place to stretch a 90 chassis is if you are turning it into a 100?

Shane at Rover Hybrids did it in the middle. There are pictures on his website, I believe.

I am building a D100 too, on a RRC frame, this would be a much better option.

Yes, but this was _my_ frame. I'm really thinking of getting it back, that would be awesome.

I have stretched a couple now in a particular way.. Much stronger then stock. 100" would be cool for your boss.

I wanna do this, sent you a PM Chris.

Still undecided about the stretch, at the very least I'm gonna need some Tdi engine mounts on there Jim. We can work it out in due time.

Build thread?

What are the biggest differences going with each route? I know disco/rrc frames are cheap, and I stretched the rear of a D90 frame for my trailer so I know the stretching part is easy. What are the other considerations?

Does this mean that the SW top might be available?

Jim C, I believe the yellow doors I have are from the mrs's truck too. Yours if you want em. I'll just keep them squirreled away when they are out on loan. I added a few dents, sorry.

Thanks Chares - I've got less sentimental attachment to the doors, and now I have 3 sets for that truck anyway, so you can keep them, sell them, or feel free to do whatever.

Jim, ask Chris to get in touch if you hear from him, I don't think he checks the board much.

And I know you want the roof Chris, it'll be yours when the time comes. I'm afraid its gonna have to be a package deal though, roof, SW cage, roll-up doors, lift gate etc.

I reached out to Chris via text for you Jim. He is on the road this weekend, ... and says the chassis is yours. He will be back in touch first of the week.
