NAS Badge

I ordered this from http://www.falon-nameplates.co.uk/ along with the generic badge. Looks like I'll be going with the generic, so the one below is for sale

I paid $55.66 from Falon for the badge and shipping. Will sell for $55 shipped any where in the CONUS. The benefit of this is that you will get the badge in 2-3 days as opposed to 18 days if you order from Falon.

Let me know if you are interested

They are charging sales tax on international shipments. That's wrong!

Wow. Looks like I will be giving Falon a call on Monday. I am not too familiar with VAT, so I appreciate you informing me of this.

****New price $40.00 shipped to the CONUS

So I checked with Falon and apparently, the only way to avoid VAT for their items shipping to the US is to be a business here in the states. If you are a business, then you have to provide some information and such (I did not check on the details). Thus, the price of the badge will be $50. Sorry for the confusion

Falon is BSing you. VAT is only applicable to buyers within the European Union. They are breaking the law to charge it to non-EU purchasers.

If you bought it with a CC, dispute the VAT amount, or call Falon again, or live with it.

I just bought over $600 of metal from YRM and had it shipped to southern California. They told me straight up that they cant charge VAT to purchases to America.

When I bought stuff in the uk, I was able to get all my vat back before leaving the country. If you feel like disputing it, on principle alone, let me know. If not, I can PayPal you.

I bought one and they did charge VAT. When I asked them about the tax they replied:

"Thank you for your order, as we do not meet one of the criteria for zero rating VAT (which is to provide a full tracking of this parcel to you) we are required to charge VAT. If we did track it the cost would exceed the VAT charged."

I paid $55.00 USD

email the UK tax authorities and ask if they remit vat on everything they sell.
