Michelin X Tires and GPS

I have a set of five Michelin X Radial 7.50R16 from a 110. One (the spare) looks to have never been on the ground. The other four only have a few mm of tread left. I can't see why anyone would want the four worn out ones, but thought I'd throw them out there before I dispose of them. FREE

I also have a permanent mount Trimble GPS. It's an aluminum box that has a power port and a DB-9 serial port on it. It puts out NMEA-0183 (ASCII protocol). Just hook your laptop up and run your favorite mapping software. It's also got the hockey puck antenna. I was going to mount this in the 110, but ended up going with a portable bluetooth solution. $50?

Can you email me more info on the GPS? Do you have pics of how this is mounted?

IIRC, it's about a 6"x6"x1" aluminum box with mounting ears sticking out on each side. I'll get some pics up this evening. My thought was to mount the box hidden away somewhere and run a serial cable to somewhere exposed under the dash. Then when I needed it, hook up the PDA or laptop to the serial cable.

I will take your spare tire>

Let me know what you need to get it to me.

My dad lives in Golden, and if you are ever out that way you could leave it with him.

Hi Jon-

I don't get out to Golden much, and it's a fair distance from me. I could meet your Dad somewhere along I-25 from Denver South, or I can ship it to you. My guess is shipping will be somewhere between $25 and $50. Let me know what works for you.

PayPal is OK. I'll slip it in a plastic bag and ship it via UPS Ground or DHL. Might be a few days though. I've got to have the tires unmounted and I'm going to be out of town this weekend. Send me your address and I'll let you know when it ships.

OK, pics of the GPS unit are below. It's a complete kit (Trimble P/N 39261-00): 8-ch receiver, mag mount antenna, serial cable, DC power cable, AC adaptor and manual. The aluminum receiver box is 4"x5"x1". The mounting plate extends 1" in each direction. It can use anywhere from 9v to 32v DC. It's a nice compact unit if you want to permanently mount a GPS and use a laptop or PDA. Here's some links to it:

Everything is spoken for except the four tires with marginal tread. They're going to be disposed of.

Thanks!
