Lt77 diesel trans with bad 2nd gear synchro

Here is the tranny out of my 1989 defender 110 200tdi.. This tranny was working great until 2nd gear became intermittently difficult to engage,,,.. Rather than pull it out and overhaul it I took the lazy parts hoarders way out and slapped another tranny in it..keep in mind this is for a diesel, ie different length input shaft than the gas engines tranny..pics coming if needed.. How's $300 plus shipping on your dime...??

Think you mean this will NOT bolt up to a Rover v8 engine...

To clarify, I think you mean this LT77 has the 4 cylinder belhousing pattern and will actually bolt to the 2.25 / 2.5 Petrol & Diesel and will also mate up to the TDI diesels, mate!

Correct.. But the I put the shaft length being different in there because some people think if they put a gas engine bell housing on they could use it for a v8... This is not the case because the input shafts are different lengths from the gas engines trans to the diesel trans..

Shaft ends are good, no idea on mileage as I don't know if it was the original trans on my truck or not.... My truck shows 129000km..
