LT230 chunks

Now that the transfer case is installed, I have various chunks of LT230 sitting in the shop that I neither want nor need. The include a 1.6 with no rear case, a D2 box with diff lock that has been substantively converted for work in a defender, but it has no front output flange (I can throw in a D1 flange). The D2 box has been resealed, but I can't vouch for its operation (same for the 1.6). Honestly, there's enough in here to make 1 good case, but it'd be a hodgepodge. Included is a parking brake linkage, for a defender, some D2 parking brake assembly (not all), and a stock defender driveshaft. Oh, there's a shifter mechanism for a 5speed disco as well (slightly different than the defender version, it appears).

This is going to be big, heavy stuff to ship, so local pickup only. Say $150/offer for everything?

Throw in something interesting in trade and you may have a deal.

i have

a hosed borg warner with a good viscous. only been sitting out in the rain since november.

old crumbling seat bottoms I got from you.

stock trailing arms

stock radius arms

stock 90 springs

10 spline diffs

most of my interesting stuff is either gone, bolted to my truck, or waiting to be bolted to my truck...

I'll make it two beers, a quesadilla for you and one for a guest of your choosing.

I think the free 8 quarts of mobile 1 he's getting is worth that additional quesadilla. Do it Tony!

OK, Charles convinced me: 2 beers, a quesadilla for me and one for a designate and Charles' mobil 1 and you have a deal. I'll load it all up into the truck.

Ren, want to donate/sell some of this to Ron's house of orphaned LT230s and maybe I can make you/someone a decent case? I need a parking brake drum and linkage I think.

I'd think there's enough there to make a complete setup, especially if you don't need a speedo drive gear rear housing. There is linkage as well as a parking brake drum (or 2). The linkage is set up for a disco, though.

Maybe you should plan to spend a weekend when you bring the roof at Ron's house of rover repair, booze and ill repute. We can drink and wrench by day and drink at the dive bar by night.

sounds like a plan. I'll bring the metal bits and the family size Advil. Just try not to have SARS (or was it swine flu) like that time you came to my place in DC

You can be my designate anytime, Charles . . .

(if you'll give me a hand welding up those sliders . . .)

Sure if your junk can make it as far as my place

I guess I should look at the bright side - at least those sliders haven't been taking up space in my garage
