It's all about perception. If the first person gave you a strong responce or felt like flip-flopping. Then you make your assessment.

If you have a person that is willing to pay you ASAP. For argument sake (I have no loss/gain here), was 2nd or 3rd in-line... you can let the 1st/2nd person in-line to get their ducks in a row and give you an answer (a deposit perhaps).

We ALL have been down that path before, of "lickers" that end up being "tire-kickers". Again, I could care less who gets the rack at the end.
