Exclamation Low mile ROW 97 D90 parting out

Not mine. I just got off the phone with British Northwest in WA and they have a ROW 97 D90 with less than 40 miles on it that they are parting out (perfect condition).

Is that the one that they have had for ages and that they keep trying to sell the roof and roll cage off of for 7k?

I think I saw this truck when I was up there a year ago. I believe it is maroon (maybe blue) Looked to be in good shape but I would not call it perfect.

Why would one part out a "perfect" truck?

They told me it was imported for a buyer, who then backed out once it was here due to funding issues (had to sell a D1 to buy it). Sounds like there was a bit of back and forth between the prospective buyer and them over 6 months time. Then while it was sitting on their property during this period, they were contacted by the feds on it with respect to compliance, and at that point, they had had enough with the prospective buyer, and decide to just part it out.

Well, I would but a Defender is a whole different beast compared to parting a Disco.

Horsey, seriously, how do you come up with these things? I don't think you were even born when that thread was started.
