Tranny bought from retired land rover chief mechanic from NJ that sold his D90 and keep this as a spare.

LOL no sweat, Sal. We can sort it out over a beer at an NYC meetup. In the meantime I have to put one of my kids up for sale in the Flea Market section to raise the capital for all the cool stuff I just have to take off your hands! Which one though, which one ...

Cheers,
John

So is the R380 Sold?
If not, you never answered which bellhousing and what suffix or serial number?
In the Land Rover applications, there are 5 different R380 bellhousings I know of and none interchange without making modifications:
V8
TDI long Diesel
Stumpy (to replace an LT 77)
TD5
P38 (BMW engine)
Then there are multiple shifter configurations between Defender, Disco, and Range Rover.
Then there are various suffix noting gearing and other various changes.
Saying I am selling a R380 is like saying my transmission just might fit your application, but guess what Swearengen?
