Chris,

Don't forget to include Duty/Taxes and brokers fees.

Ask me how I know.

The "cutout" is not trapezoidal. The face of the cluster is. It bolts to the outside.

Yes. You are correcto...

The warning lamps vessel mounts on top... it's not recessed.

I'd also be sure that the trapezoidal panel will fit through the rectangular hole. No clue about Raptor specifically, but when i recently accidentally orderered a TD5 binnacle, my trapezoidal warning cluster wouldn't even fit through the cutout to sit in front. The electronics were just a hair too big. Probably something easy to fix with a dremel, but also probably not something I'd wanna do to my fancy new, perfect binnacle.

Correct - they mount in front of the hole.

I'd be in for a deluxe LHD with the black bezel.

And, if he will do RHD, deluxe binnacle and mount in black as well.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone. You all may have heard about the "ransom" virus going around and our company got hit (we lost 1 server and 4 machines out of 50) and we have been not only battling this nasty fawker but this left us all behind. In addition my home machine took a crap last Saturday and is yet to be rebuilt so I am working remotely. What a PITA.

That said, I am still in. I really appreciate the folks that have responded and also the PM's and emails with some information in regards to these group buys and what to look out for with the hidden issues such as the duties and secondary shipping/packing expenses. So I'll look into all that this weekend as I would prefer to do this sooner than later.

My real "work" is architectural lighting as a rep, so we don't really have a "shipping/receiving" department that has ton's of packaging (although we do have UPS pick up so that is convenient) which means I will also have to figure out the boxing and such. So if there is someone here that knows what the hell they are doing that wants to do all this, please speak up! I know this isn't my expertise, but at the same time, I am a willing participant and feel I can handle all this too. So that said, I should have an idea of all the folks participating and some costs, probably by Monday to say at least go/no go.

Now back to rebuilding the home machine...

I feel like a walking target that keeps getting shot down. If someone else would like to or could organize this, life is just getting in my way too much right now. I really need to replace mine as the tabs are all broken, but our dog Maestro is undergoing the knife today for a tumor/obstruction that won't allow his food or epilepsy meds to pass through his system and it is going to be thousands of bucks. As many of you know, I have lost our other 2 dogs in the last 18 months (old age) and this is heartbreaking.

If no one does, then I will resume when we get back to our feet. Between all my medical issues and our dog issues, I am just getting all the wind knocked out of my sails (and our bank account...)

Sorry--don't mean to be a pita and I certainly don't want to drop the ball once money is on the table.

I do want to apologize to all for starting and stopping this. Maestro ate a Diet Coke 12-pack box that blew into our yard--we know it was that box because the vet surgically removed 3/4 of the box in one piece! Second surgery to remove stuff from his stomach although this time he got a secondary infection. a month and $3500 later, he is doing pretty good and still on the mend. I see that someone has picked up a group order from Raptor Engineering and I hope that goes through for everyone! I still need my binacle, but I am going to have to wait for a couple months to recover...($$)

Binnacle Mount

Did someone pick up this group buy? Also, does anyone know if SafariHP makes an Aluminum version to go with their aluminum mounting bracket?

Just picked up this Binnacle thread. As near as I can tell, the conversation started last January, and so far no one has finished the story....is this correct? If so, maybe I can add my name to the list for a LHD Binnacle and Mount for a 1988 Defender...
