Donít know about tasteful but I have been collecting pics for ideas myself. Here's a couple of trucks I found. If anybody has any more I would be interested in seeing them as well.

All pics courtesy of the web.

There are pics of someone who just used a LHD dash and fabbed some metal to go over the hole left by the steering column, etc. Oh, the forgot to switch the windshield wipers around, but I doubt that's not the only place they cut corners on this particular truck.

That was supposed to say they used a RHD and gabbed it to make it LHD. I thought that's what you were looking to do last week.

Thanks for the post Joshua. This may be a good option as RHD dash are easy to get. The plastic fabricated covers dont look too bad.

Im sure the end caps and gauge console can be sourced online.

At least they replaced the shifter. Usually that gets forgotten in the switchover

They also moved the e-Brake over, but for some reason didn't bother with the windshield wipers - I guess they figured, "hey there are 3 wipers on this one, so no need to switch them around"

Huh ? the shifter unbolts and can be rotated 360 degree's to any prefered position.

The hand brake is a matter of preference. Ie if you are a large person the LHD position of the handbrake lever is uncomfortable on your right leg. That said leaving it on the other side of the tunnel doesn't bother the passenger @ all and its still easily reached. If you are short with short arms and legs then moving it over makes sense.

Not changing the wiper over is just being lazy. Parts cost about $50 for the two wiper arms and the shorter drive tube off the wiper motor.

I saw someone do that but did a much nicer job as in they welded up the metal and recovered the bottom of the dash in vinyl. The trick apparently was the metal backer behind the plastic cover had to be reworked too.

I wish I could find the site.

Jeff, thanks for adding the photos. Im starting to appreciate the minimalist look. The original Series look is very cool. I wish you had a better close up of the first one.

Metal Dash

Has anyone found pics of an aluminum dash that keeps the functionality of the front vents and will also allow room for a double DIN stereo with nav system?
