land rover supercharger

Hey Guys,
This just came in and customer does not want to repair the rover. Eaton supercharger full package for a 4.0, 4.6 amd possibly make it work on a 3.9 not really sure..still on the engine, running and driving. Engine runs smooth w the charger.. Has 150k miles. Customer did take care of the truck for many years. I can remove the cameron concept charger and am willing to ship..or just buy the entire truck. Asking 1750 For the charger. 2400 for the entire truck

What is the Rover, and what did it come in for that was so catastrophic that the customer just gave you the truck??

Sure, but realize you could get the heads off and find a dropped liner and end up with a junk motor. Much easier in my view to find a motor already out of a truck.

with or with out the charger? yeah sure why not, pretty open to offers for the charger and engine..

------ Follow up post added April 12th, 2013 02:15 PM ------

yeah, i was thinking the same solution on just finding another 4.0 and dropping that in it and add the charger. would be a nice setup on a hybrid..I did my research for my 04 d2 to see if it would work. too much work to make it work.

Forrest,

If you could get the motor without the charger, it would be a good start if the block is ok (it probably is).

It happens with GEMS, but they seem better than the Bosch motors about it for whatever reason.

Good luck with the sale.

I haven't heard of it much either.

My '04 has a '97 4.6 in it for this reason.

Alejandro, I will contact you through PM. Do you own a shop? You said it is a customer's car?

What kind of gain do you get with the supercharger? What is involved with installing it in a 97 d90?
