Howling Moon Roof-Top Tent FOR SALE

Howling Moon 4 person roof-top tent for sale. Can be mounted on a full size SUV or back country trailer. Size is approx. 8'x8'x4' high when open and 8'x4'x12" when closed. Sets up easily in 10 minutes.

The tent is new, never been mounted or slept in. We are selling it because the company sent us the wrong model. They offered us a settlement because the shipping back to Europe was too expensive to be profitable for them. The tent and shipping were $3967.00.

We are asking $2500.00.

Please call Clarence at 303-591-4426 or email.

Something's fishy about all this. How did you come across two tents in a period of one year and not need either of them?

2 tents

As I mentioned in the ad, This model, which includes a zip on room that attaches under the tent is not the model we wanted, because we were spending the spring and part of the summer camping in Mexico we needed a model that had ventilation on all sides. I had this same tent for sale early this year and then pulled it because we were out of the country. This tent is a great deal for someone in the market, there are no new 4 person roof top tents for sale in the states. We spent over 60 nights in all weather conditions in a model simular to this and our experience was great. I am happy to e mail pics. Thanks, Clarence

Clarence, is yours the Tourer 2.4? I'm curious to see pictures. What are the ventilation issues with it?

Thanks.

tourer 2.4

Yes this is the tourer 2.4. The side you enter the tent on allowes you to enter from the bottom of the tent which is great in bad weather and a necessary if you want the extra zip on room that is an option and included with this tent. This style still has the entrance doors on that side but they are enclosed by an entry area which slows down venting on that side a bit. The ventilation for most people would not be an issue, we were in Mexico camping this summer and the temps were always 100 degrees plus during the days and 90s in the eves. unless we were in the mts, also all of our camping was in remote areas and with 2 young children and my wife along I wanted the option of being able to see out on all 4 sides in case of any issues. Since I have not set this model up I have no pics. of it set up but can send you mfgs. pics. Let me work on that. Feel free to call me 303 591 4426 Clarence
PS. Attached is a picture of my tent as I have it mounted on my 110. The other tent is very similar, but with some extras.

Clarence is a stand up guy I bought a tire carrier from him earlier in the year and I am sure what he selling is as advertized.

He has the nicest D-110 I have ever or will ever see, and he built it himself

Mike

Talking

I think he explained it well--- I'm just jealous that I don't have the 110 OR one of these tents...

Set-up pics

Here are a few pictures of how this tent sets up. Remember, the one for sale has a zip-on room underneath. For those interested, these photos were taken in the city of Guanajuato, Mexico.

Clarence, about how long did it take you to deploy the tent--one person, and just the tent, not the ground-level extension? (I'm curious because it's the same tent coming on my CampaATT trailer next week.)

Thanks,
Trevor

set up time

Trevor, The set up time is 10 min. + - You get faster at it with time. Much easier to set up in the dark and in the wind than a conventional tent. Clarence

roof top rack

I will include a roof top rack with this tent. It is 9ft. 2in. long and 4ft. 9in. wide. fits a Defender 110. It is flat with no sides and would require custom mounting. I will post pics. next week. Clarence

Guys, this is a great deal. With the rack included, I'd say a steal. I would snap it up myself, if I hadn't just bought the same tent. Setting one of these up is a breeze. You flip one 4' x 8' panel 180 degrees, and the entire tent deploys automatically. Reverse the process to stow it. Internal bungees pull the sides in so that everything folds perfectly into place. The material, originally designed for the South African military, is very heavy-duty. You won't find a price this low, and there is virtually no one selling these tents a la carte in the U.S.
