roof top tent costs

The price being asked for the tent is my cost incurred to purchace this tent , the room that zips under the overhang, shipping to Denver from the U.K. and a small ammount to clear customs. If you have any other questions or would like a cost breakdown please call or e mail. Clarence

Yes, its a typo, the price is $45,000. You have to understand that the pound rate is crap and ocean shipping has a lot of extra surcharges now because of the increased price of bunker fuel.

Lets keep in mind this is a classified listing. If he is into it for X amount of $$, thats what he would like to get back if possible.

Well, I can tell you that these things aren't cheap... I did find a spectacular deal on mine.

Mine is a 1.4 without all the extra's and it's $1500 PLUS shipping... He's got the 2.4 which is like the top model... PLUS the awning & ladder... It's a sweet setup.

Good luck.

Tent, including awning $3054.28
Extension ladders $155.63
Freight charge $1079.98

Jim,

I got mine from a dealer in Canada (it's in the 'hannibal the cannibal' post on this great forum) because they were making their own so I got it half price... BUT to answer your question, shipping from Canada to my nearest International Airport in Jacksonville, Florida was I believe $300, and that was FEDEX AIR FREIGHT. Fit perfectly inside the safari rack (though the one I have is made to... I don't know about the 2.4 in question).

Hope this helps.
Might be cheaper to 'ground-truck' freight it, if you're in the U.S. and the seller is in Colorado I believe.

Nicholas

Oh, dont get me wrong, I'm not buying this - I'd rather have another Alfa Romeo than a tent.

But yes, in all fairness I cant blame the guy for wanting what he has into it. I'm sure its a very nice tent.
