Group Buy (feeler): stainless steel door hinges, safari door/bonnet/bulkhead hinges

Contemplating putting together some bulk/group buy pricing on the following:
http://www.smilinghound.co.uk/hinges.html

Namely, the door hinges but also contemplating the safari door hinges, bonnet hinges, and bulkhead brackets.

Any interest?

PS - I'm also open to alternate vendors/sources if anyone has suggestions. I'm just sick of the running rust on my door hinges...I just painted them, put on stainless hardware, and they rusted up in the first rain!

Stupid follow-up question to my own thread...but I was assuming stainless steel can be painted, correct? Or even powder-coated for that matter I suppose (even better).

I like them too but too "blingy" IMHO is raw form.

Stainless CAN be powdercoated but needs proper prep (like most things). Some people sandblast a little to "roughen" the surface. Others use chemicals to etch the surface.

If you can get them prepped and painted I would be interested.

Aren't these out there in aluminum too?

------ Follow up post added August 21st, 2011 08:07 PM ------

It says on their website........."Other finishes are available on special order."

Find out what they can do.

Jason,

If all you need is the hinges, you can strip yours to bare metal and send them to me. Im getting my frame, bulkhead, cappings, hinges, etc galvanized in the next couple weeks. I'm more than happy to add it to my batch if you cover postage.

drop me an email

Jason

Stainless hinges

I'm interested in all of it. Let me know when you get some pricing on the other products. Not a big fan of the bling either but it sure beats the rust, and will last forever.

Definitely looks like we have some interest...unfortunately no word back on my initial inquiry yet. I'll ping them again and keep everyone updated.

Door hinges

What's the price for hinges and hardware for all three doors on a 90? Unless it's astronomically expensive, I'd like a set too. Interested in the bonnet hinge set too if they have them available.

Does he carry the safari door/bonnet/bulkhead hinges in aluminum as well? Or just the door hinges?

It's been a few days and am wondering what's happening on the hinges effort. Any news?
