Does anyone know if you can use this as an aux tank on a 85?

Brad asked me as his tank is under the passenger seat. I have no clue.

Ren, How serious are the modifications that you are talking about? I was hoping to just be able to mount it under the tub behind the rear axle where I believe they are fitted on the NAS trucks and then hook up the plumbing and fuel gauge to have an auxiliary tank. How much more will be involved?

Just buy the tank from me, use some duct tape to hold it in place and a garden hose as the delivery system.

Seriously if anyone knows what to do please let Brad know.

You would, at a minimum, need the brackets for the tank that are welded to the frame and the skidplate that holds it in place. Also, you would need the filler assembly. Finally, I would suspect you may have issues with the exhaust.

I can't imagine it being that bad. People in the UK do it all the time (using TD5 or whatever thing got a rear tank over there).

Well, it sounds like it's pretty much like what I expected. Thanks guys.
