Smile Galvanized Roof Rack and ladder for a 110.

This rack came over on my Rover from France. I used it for years, and loved it for its architecture and utility. I would get comments from random people all the time, ogling over the simple yet strong construction. When I converted my roof over to the Dormobile years ago, I held onto the rack even though I could no longer use it. Well, it is time to let it go. I love the Dormobile, and can not imagine going back to a solid roof with the rack.

- Construction is galvanized steel with aluminum slats for the floor. Very nicely made, the welds are very clean and it fits the truck great.

- The ladder bolts onto your crossmember in place of the foot step/handle.

- Dimensions inside the load area: 92.5"x47"

- Unique design spreads load along the entire gutter.

- Located in Portland, OR.

- May be able to help with delivery to Seattle-Eugene, but no shipping.

- Send me a PM if you have any questions.

- Price $1000 OBO

I loaned it to a friend, and he posted some pics of it on his truck:

Wow! That is one of best looking roof rack designs I've seen. This would be right at home on an older 109 as well. I'm in the Portlandia area, too... maybe offer it up to the Pacific Coast Rover Club as well. I can see why you wanted to hold onto it.

I've seen this rack in person and it's very nice. GLWS Toby!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. I do not have an account at the PCRC anymore. However, you are welcome to let them know about it. It would be great if it stayed local. Funny how humans can be sentimental about silly objects, maybe I am just weird...

I just posted a link to your ad on the PCRC mailer. This thing is too beautiful to let it out of our area.

Very nice good looking rack. Appears to even have enough clearance for the tropical roof too. All the good stuff is no where near me. If you were closer it'd be mine. GLWS.

I'm afraid you might have sellers regrets as it leaves your driveway. Hang on to it!

I know I will regret it : ) Maybe I should buy another truck just to hold this rack up in the air?

Will this rack look good on a truck with Boost wheels? Good, because it is heading to NYC! Sold pending payment!
