Galvanized Bulkheads

If anyone in the US is in need of a replacement Galvanized Bulk head we have a group order being placed with Ashtree in the UK there are offering a 10% discount on the galvanized bulkhead purchase to buyers if they were going in on this order. (Defender or Series ) if we got 10 more more people interested, The big savings with this order is the shipping. Typically crating and shipping cost to the east coast of the US for 1 bulkhead was going to cost 400.gbp ($660.usd) . Fortunately we have a container coming back over, and were able to save them at least 1/2 if not a little more on the shipping cost. . If anyone is in need of a bulkhead that will last forever ad get a discount to boot contact Lyn at sales@ashtreelandrover.com lent them know you are interested in pricing for the New England Rovers order.
Just as a side note every galvanized chassis maker in the UK not only use Ashtree it is the only company they recommend for galvanized bulk heads .

Currently on my iPhone so I'm not going to dig through and find a price for a D90 LHD one now but I may be interested. General price range to this shore?

firewalls

There has been some discussion on these at guns and rovers. I would encourage anyone wanting one to talk to someone who has previously bought one or check out that thread. These firewalls have been rotten then repaired and galvanized . . . Accurate repair sections are not readily available. Make your own conclusions.

Ike, I notice , all there is a post with hearsay (I know a guy who bought one and after receiving it decided he did not like the repair work and "ditched It") Seams very unlikely that anyone would pay almost $2,000 USD on a product and just "ditch it" No names of "who" the buyer was or any other details . Many of the north East owners don't have enough left to patch on their bulk head so repairing existing one is not an option and Here in VT we have no galvanizers that would do individuals automotive parts even if were were able to source a brand new one.

There was some chatter about Ashtree on the UK boards. There's a guy in Ireland doing galvy bulkheads that has a great reputation and better prices. I'll see if I can find his info and post it up.

EDIT: This is the guy, couldn't locate the forum posts but found him on ebay. Definitely worth contacting him to see if he is willing to do a batch for export.

Chris,
Id say the post is enough to warrant a little leg work for anyone that's interested. If its not, looking at ashtree's gallery page and seeing this firewall with a very obvious repair to the area above the trans tunnel might encourage some more asking around:

I realize this is an inexperienced newbie question, but do we have to pay the VAT on these?

NO vat

No vat doesnt apply for exports. Dont let them tell you otherwise either. BTW the guns and rovers thread has been updated with pics of an Ashtree firewall . . . highly recommend a look.

Ashtree has informed me that enough orders have come in to qualify for the 10% discount, and the cut off for orders is going to be Tuesday July 5th . This is in order to get everything produced in time for get into the container for shipping (approximately 3 weeks)
