FS Reverse Auction 200TDI Hybrid Engine

OK we have a disco 200TDI engine that we installed in our X-Swiss Fire Brigade 1983 110.
It ran fine and was starting to run a high temperature (not overheating).
Since I was planning to sell the 110 and wanted it to be "ship shape", we pulled the head and found the hose between the water pump and the thermostat housing had a split and was leaking coolant.
The head did not have any cracks and was totally rebuilt with new exhaust valves seals top hats and guides, then surfaced milled.
Cylinder boars looked good (bores if you're not into engines).
Installed the head with new head bolts, added a special 300TDI injector conversion.
This engine ran great for about 200 miles while the 110 was up for sale.
Buyer wanted a more reliable Isuzu 4JB1-T...
Pulled this 200TDI last year and listed it FS in December 2017.
10 muthalikkas showed interest all over the country... took pictures, talked about it, answered PMs and emails.
Now it is time to see who wants to buy it.
NO GUARANTEE, you buy it and it's yours.
I only installed it because it was available running and wanted to pull the 2.25 petrol and install a diesel.
It has a 139 amp alternator, a 300TDI Turbo, 300TDI manifolds, a 300TDI dipstick, and a Mercedes power steering pump.
Since I loathe Land Rover engines and only run superior Iveco, Isuzu, Mercedes, or Daihatsu diesels, this junk needs to go.
It had a new rear main seal, but it just might leak oil.
It had a new head gasket, but in a few miles, it could make it's own decision to start leaking compression.
It never leaked any fuel, but just might start a new leak.

So I listed it for sale here for $4K and it was a question and answer war, sending estimates, answering the most detailed questions.
Here is the link to the FS thread:

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ne-128369.html

Starting tonight the engine is $3,900
Every day in the future the price drops by $100 at 1 mili-second after midnight.
No shipping, pickup only.
If the price drops to zero, we will install it in an MGB.
So who wants this junk?

$100 drop every millisecond? In less than a second, it'll be 0. Even if it's every second, in 39 seconds it'll be 0.

I took it to mean 1 millisecond after midnight every 24 hours. I had to read it a few times.

Who wants a 200TDI.
I've given 4 estimates and no one made a purchase, so here it is all day today at $3,800.

After midnight tonight, the price drops to $3,700.

Am also listing this engine on ebay and dropping the price by $100 every day until it sells.
OK cheapskates, what's the selling point.
200 and 300TDIs are terrible engines.
Who wants this engine for $3,800 today, $3,700 tomorrow, or $3,600 the day after?

OK, we'll lift the exempt status in exchange for a hamburger today.
After midnight tonight, the price drops to $3,700 and UD can make the purchase like we all know he will.
