Sent you an email via D-90 (your pm's were full). But price, as long as we can get enough interested parties to make it happen, would be the same as the other Face Panel.

Thread is 4 months old. So the question is what happened to this panel idea? Still in the works? Dead?

I'm interested.

Samer:

Sorry for not updating this...been up to my neck in Rover projects (these being one of them). Actually doing another 4 total configurations for the Face Plates, the 3-VDO being one of them. Plates are pretty much all cut, just need to be "spit-shined" and then trying to get a bunch of things together all-at-once to go to powdercoat (essentially powdercoat costs have gone up, so need to make sure maximize the volume when doing a run to try to keep the costs down).

Please try to be patient a little longer (you've been great so far!), and I'll update here once everything is physically back in hand.

Jason: No worries. I came across this thread while searching for info on tachometers.

Thanks for the reply, and I'll be waiting until you have the faceplates ready. Sound exciting.

Are you interested in the VDO face plate config?

FS: NAS Center Dash Face Plate (milled aluminum)

That was my interest initially until you mentioned the other configurations.

What I currently have in my dash (1986 ROW D 110) is a round clock flanked by a cigarette lighter and the rear wash/wipe. I can delete the cigarette lighter no problem, but would rather keep the clock and wash wipe where they are. What do your other configurations look like?

If you don't have anything in the works similar to what I'm describing, the 3-gauge VDO plate will still work for me. I'll simply adapt the 3rd opening to hold the rear wash/wipe controls.

Additional Face Plate configurations complete!

So the additional Face Plate configurations are DONE! Did a small run of each to gauge interest, and still need to get the photography done so everything will be up and "active" for ordering...I'd imagine I should *hopefully* have that done next week, but if not definitely after Conclave.

Available configs will be:
  1. NAS config (standard)
  2. NAS Carling (similar to standard config, but replacing the factory hazard switch with a Carling cutout)
  3. 3x VDO (i.e. 3 VDO gauges lined up side by side)
  4. 6x Carling Switches (i.e. 6 Carling switches lined up)
  5. 12v-Carling x4-12v (i.e. a round 12v on each side, with 4 Carling Switches in the middle)

As soon as I have the photography done I'll report back and get the ordering links active.

Also happy to report that after many, many months of tweaking the grill prototype is "getting there" and will hopefully be done *soon*...and will be a nice match aesthetically and functionally to the wingtop vents as well (and will have headlight surrounds likewise to match).

Ok, alternate configurations are back from powdercoat and ready to go:
https://www.seriesdefender.com/face.html

As discussed, now offering:
  1. NAS standard configuration (which is essentially the square hazard switch, square clock, round 12v).
  2. NAS Carling switch (same as above...but replaces the square hazard switch with a cutout to fit the Carling Hazard switch).
  3. (3) VDO or stock round gauges (fits 3 round VDO or stock gauges side by side).
  4. (6) Carling Switches (fits in a row of 6 total Carling switch cutouts).
  5. 12V / (4) Carling Switches / 12V (a 12v opening on each side, with 4 Carling switch cutouts in the middle).

A few representative pictures below, but more available at the link shown above. As always, use coupon code "D90" at checkout for a 10% discount for Defender Source members.

Victor - much appreciated, and happy to help. Post some pics once you get it installed!

I'm actually in the process of switching over the NAS truck to the "Carling" version...and on the ROW 130 I'm going to roll with the 12V/Carling option (which seems to be the most popular lately).
