FS: NAS 110 external cage

For Sale: USED and PARTIAL NAS 110 cage. This is a cage that we had powder coated for a customer's restoration but it wasn't quite good enough to use in the rebuild. So we installed a new cage on that truck, and this is what left over.

It is not a complete cage. There are no under-body mounts

We will not ship

All the exterior parts are there, but 2 bars are white (the rest is new black powder coat).

The parts are fine, they just have some rust pitting and texture that were not good enough for rebuild.

The cage is missing:
No hardware
No under body/frame mounts

You can buy or make all the missing pieces.

$800.

PayPal please.
Please "lick" the item on the forum and contact me prior to payment.

Any questions please email to:
info@eastcoastrover.com

Thank you

Correct.
All Safety Devices external cages were designed for 1992 and newer Defenders (this cage was designed in 1992).
Here are some details on fitting them to older Defenders:

OK, I am getting kind of sick of this….

I do not know what to do:

I posted the cage for sale.
Almost immediately I got an "I'll take it" via email.
Then someone else "licked" the item on the forum, but this was after the email had come through that said "I'll take it".
Then the person who "licked" it sent an email saying they will take it.

So who wins?

we should mention that the guy that licked it per your instructions also had sent you a pm a few weeks ago asking if you had a cage.

I guess we should also mention that the guy who said he'll take it was already in a conversation with you in regards to other items that he bought and was first to say...I'll take it..before it was "licked"

Well no question here, you gotta do it rat race style. Mail them both a key to a storage locker somewhere within the continental US and whoever gets there first wins

OK, I'm going with who was "first" to say "I'll take it".

I think there should be some talk about how stuff is bought here, or maybe this only happens to me.

I'm sorry to anyone who missed the cage. We do get them from time to time and you will be notified first of the next one.
There is no way to make everyone happy here. Sorry.

I added that "lick" line after the cluster fuck on the Hella lights.
It was not in the original post and was not there when the emailer said "I'll take it".

The lick thing is sooo played out too many people on this forum lick something and then decide they do not want it or stop responding. Complete waste of my time and not the way it used to be where if you licked something you were 100% for sure taking it as posted not...

If I can arrange shipping
If it will fit my truck
Dependent on if you are willing to take less for it than the posted price
Dependent on sending additional pictures

I go by someone saying that they will take it and paying me till then it is still for sale.

Thanks for the input.

I agree and want to add that if you are asking a question about an item, that does not mean you are in line for it.
If you ask if it fits your truck, or how much will it cost to ship to X and someone else says, "I'll take it", they win.
A question is not an intent to purchase.
Only "I'll take it" means I will take it.

I'm going to try and be more clear in future listings. Sorry for the cluster-f&^%

I think you're on it, licked or 'I'll take it' whether via email or the board should always be done via time stamp. If you're emailing about an item you obviously saw it on the board and if you beat the 'licker' on the forum it doesn't really matter.

It's really all the same, first person to commit, via phone, email or board wins in my opinion.

The sneaky payment method should be barred

Still a great deal. When I opened the thread at first yesterday there was only one photo of the windshield portion and I wasn't too sure what was included - otherwise I'd have "licked" it just to hoard it. It does suck that John was inquiring about this just a couple of weeks ago (plus he's local) and didn't get a first-shot at it, but I could see how keeping track of that would be difficult. I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago - guy was doing a big build and removed a ton of stuff from a few trucks, I inquired about a bunch of it, got one thing and was told the rest had been thrown out...2 months later it was all for sale here by him...
