I do not check PMs. Call or email if you need something.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago - guy was doing a big build and removed a ton of stuff from a few trucks, I inquired about a bunch of it, got one thing and was told the rest had been thrown out...2 months later it was all for sale here by him...
Not to mention its to the one guy that likes to friggin gloat to everyone on the board when he gets a good deal. and if we want to talk time stamps my request for a cage was made on Sept 11. Shayne should be the gentleman that he is and step aside and let the cage go.

I think this all works according to normal everyday common sense - "licking" is nothing more than a local way of saying "dibs."
If you don't follow up ASAP or drag your feet on payment, then you can't get butt-hurt if a seller more convinced by cash in hand than your declaration of licking. The time frame becomes even more compressed when the item is desirable. If you get beat, or have complex shipping arrangements or have to do more research or whatever, well, that's just a missed opportunity.

I don't think a seller is morally required to track inquiries either. It's easy to put something out of your mind when you're asked if you have something and the answer is "no." If a seller hooks you up by keeping you in mind for a later sale, that's really cool but not everyone has time to be cool all the time.

ECR is a bit cursed in that they tend to offer more desirable stuff here, so a feeding frenzy ensues and rover feelings get hurt.

Nothing adds more insult to injury than a good ole fashion lecture on common sense. Nothing conditional about my pm, email or lick just obviously a step behind. As far as ease of transaction I'll let you guess who would of gotten to rockland first.
