FS: LT230 Transfer Case

In addition to that brand-new R380, the shop is pulling out the old LT230 out of my D90. It is from a 1985 Rover with ~154k miles, and I am told it is a 1.2:1 ratio. Aside from that, I cannot tell you much, apart from "it works", but if you want serial numbers or pictures I can ping the folks at the shop.

One of the things I do not know is what would be a good asking price for something like this. I am sure we can work something out if you want the transmission too...

Hey Jonathan,
Good to see you're making progress on the 90.

A fair price on a used LT230 is in the $175-225 range.

Well there we go then . Thanks!

And "progress" may be a bit optimistic. We'll find out in a couple of weeks.

I need to get serial # to confirm but I'm pretty sure they put 1:6 behind the 2.25 petrols. If some one knows better let me know. I will get the serial # this week

Blah. I knew it was either a 1.6 being replaced with a 1.2, or vice versa, and, of course, I remembered wrong. Sorry. Listen to Brian, folks - this is a 1.6, not a 1.2.

No, only on 110's

90's had the 1.4 all petrol and diesel variants.

Yes, and 1.4s are worth more than a 1.2 (or a 1.6).

Interesting. Maybe it depends on what is was being used for. Mine has a 20D case in it.

Every 110 2.25 and 2.5 powered vehicle I've worked on had a 1.6.
Not sure about the 90".
