FS: Land Rover Defender/Series Rear Forward Facing Folding Seats

Here's a pair of very nice used Trakker/Exmoor rear load space forward facing fold up seats. Left and Right. Black vinyl matches the pattern on series "deluxe" seats. These fold up onto the wheelboxes when not in use. Both have one minor tear along the edge (see pictures). The equivalent seats are $335 EACH at Rover$ North. These are $400 for the pair. Located in San Jose, CA.

Hi Carl. Do the seats bolt to the frame? What's the install like? I'm interested.

Surf90-

The seats bolt to the corner of the wheel well- this is the hinge where they pivot. This can be reinforced with an angle on the underside of the wheel well. The "leg" that swings out and sits on the floor of the tub has two holes in it about 3/8" diameter. Exmoor shows photos with adjustable feet in these holes, presumably to make the leg set evenly on the tub floor (I don't have these feet). I guess if you didn't feel comfortable with just gravity holding the seat down, you could make a semi-permanent connection here. Exmoor does specify that a four point belt should be used with this style of seat.

hope this helps,
Carl

Can you keep a secret? You don't have to lose you carpool ok status. Just fold down the backs and run a tonneau like me! ;-)

Alas not quite as easy to pull of in a SW.

Could probably build a false floor/cover, but then I'd have to deal with them tactical carpool enforcement K9's sniffing out my contraband back seats.

True! My bad. Didn't know you were in an SW. I can only see basic profile info and no registry pics from the app.

guys explain this to me...

you can drive a defender in the car pool lane as long as there is no rear seat??

Even with just one person? or is this 2 people in a 3+ HOV lane?

Is there a statute/code you can point me to validate this?

If this is true law school sure was a waste of money! They teach us about contracts and torts and property, but none of the cool laws like this.
