Front Doors off AA Yellow 95 D-90 Trade or Sell

We have 2 used front doors off a 95 AA Yellow NAS Defender 90. They are in good shape, not excellent shape. They have some corrosion. We are only offering the lower aluminum part of the door, not hardware, windows or inside door panels. We would really like to trade for a D-90 stock rear bumper (not a problem if it needs re-finishing as long as there is no damage). We would also consider a trade for a stock front brush guard, original owner's manuals, side step rails or diamond plate wing covers. Make offer for outright sale. MUST PICK-UP @ our FACILITY in SALT LAKE CITY, UT-NO SHIPPING I will have pictures by Friday evening, can e-mail.

Thanks
Susan

I have three.

I can dig the two out of my basement and see what it would be like to ship them to you. If you covered shipping I would take the doors in trade happily.

These doors are off the 95 Diesel we bought in Colorado. I don't want to ship them-too much hassle. Please local pick-up/exchange only. Sorry Ron

We usually sell them for about 100. each. If you want 2 make it 75. each.
We take off about 1 a week, so we end up with crap loads of them. Once a year they all go to the dump, but we have a few right now.

I'm sick of replacing soft top doors that have rusted out, and on our BR110s we need a better solution for those cars (as they all go live on the beach). So instead of making them out of steel we will be doing them in either stainless or galvanized frames with alloy skins (to prevent corrosion). I haven't decided yet. We are making all the press tooling for them now, so it will be a while before I decide if we go SS or what, but we'll have the ability to do both.
It will all be posted to the ECR site as we build BR110 #2 early this spring.

A BR110 is this in case folks didn't know:

Sounds like you're going to be in the replacement door business if you're not careful Can I be first in line?

Hi Keith,

I hope we don't have to replace too many doors.

&

Mike (ECR) I'll e-mail you about a couple of brushguards. I'll take 2 in the best shape that you have.

Thanks

"or galvanized frames with alloy skins (to prevent corrosion)."

Series I land rovers had galvanized frames for the doors. I do not see why, if you were careful, you could unskin, galvanize, and then reskin stock doors.

Last I talked to wise owl they were out of stock and hadn't been able to find a galvanizer they liked and couldn't commit to a timeframe to have them in stock.

It occurs to me that if one were comprehensive about it, all corrosion could be effectively eliminated on a series/D90, especially because galvanizing and aluminum are not galvanically corrosive in contact. Stainless it, but some washer isolating the bolts would probably be sufficient. I bet you could even galvanize axle casings. I have one I am planning on trying it with.

You can galv. a factory door without too much issue, as long as they don't warp the crap out of the door frame.
We have to do some tooling because the BR110 doors have to be made, not bought, plus we want the SS option if a customer wants it.

Does that mean you're not going to be offering the doors? The doors on my '94 are starting to bubble a bit (both the frame and skin)and I'd like to be able to replace them at some point. Stainless/galvanized doors seem like they'd definitely be worth it. Would solve any problems long term. I know you guys aren't huge into mail order so would they be available if I sent my truck to you guys? They'd need to be painted and everything as well and you guys do amazing work.

Stainless would eat through the aluminium unless you isolated it really well.
