FOR SALE – Range Rover Sport / LR3 Upper Dash Panel(s)
Not for Defenders, but as many of you also own Rovers other than Defenders, I thought I’d offer them here before listing them elsewhere.
When I bought my ’06 Rover Sport Supercharged used (now my nephew’s Ensign-mobile), it suffered from horrendous cracking of the leatherette cover as many of the earlier ones did/do. Some had been replaced under warranty, but mine was not one of these. As such, I sought out a good replacement. I found a breaker yard take off, but upon delivery to me, I discovered that while it was better than the one I had, that it still had some cracking around the passenger airbag deployment section. The seller refused to honor their ad which had listed a non-cracked one. As such, I still have it.
I ordered another take off one from another seller, and while waiting for it to show, also found a brand new dash from a Rover dealer, which I subsequently installed on my truck. The second take off was also in good, crack-free shape, and I still have it.
For sale here is the good used non-cracked one, shown it the first eight photos (The photos with both bubblewrap and brown paper wrapping in the background.)
The second one with cracking around the dash area may also still be of use to someone, and if your current dash is like mine was at purchase, it’s probably better than your current one. (Six photos with just brown paper packing in the background.) This would also be ideal for anyone looing to do a custom upholstery job, etc.
These come with items attached to each as shown, which may include the dash speaker grille, some mounting insert hardware, etc.
I was able to swap out my dash myself in a couple of hours with basic hand tools, an internet info search, watching some related YouTube videos, and a basic understanding of how modern Rovers are all snapped together.
I’m happy to assist buyers with walking through the swap procedure. I can even help you with the swap gratis if you’d like to drive your truck down to visit. This would have to be in Norfolk, VA before the end of October, or in Jacksonville, FL after mid November when my family and I retire from the Navy and move south. We’d have to arrange it around my work schedule, and I have all tools required.
Will work for LR3s and Range Rover Sports that had installed in-dash factory navigation from ‘05 to ’09 as I understand it, but please do your research for other years. These dash assemblies are covered by several factory part numbers.
Good non-cracked dash - $300 plus shipping
Not as good w/dash cracking - $100 plus shipping
Local pickup in Norfolk, VA is always welcome, or you can also use your own shipping account and send me call tags. I can wrap and box as necessary, and would guess that shipping will probably run $65-85 in CONUS. They're pretty light but bulky.
Payment via Paypal "gift"/payment to friends or you pay the additional fees.
As I approach another (my final) Navy move, I really don’t want to move these again.
