Feeler trade: Shrockworks rear tire carrier for stock

I have one of these I'd consider trading for a stock unit:

http://rides.webshots.com/album/51076615JlXUQt

It can hold two jerry cans, up to at least 37" tire and Hi-Lift jack. Hell, I'll even include the jack.

Since my NAS roof rack isn't selling, I may as well install it on my Defender. In order to install the rack, I need the stock spare tire carrier.

Prefer local swap in SoCal as opposed to shipping each cross country.

Looking at that top mount I am confused why this won't work with the tire carrier you have? Also you realize how expensive your carrier is compared to stock? You are better off selling it and buying a carrier instead of a straight trade.

he has the one for two cans and the hi lift, so it doesn't look like the ladder coming down over the license plate on the driver's side will fit. It's also super tight with the SG tire carrier, and requires some mods. Actually, Brad and I had talked a few months back about how he fit both on his rig.

Thanks, Barry, that would be helpful.

The problem I see is on the passenger side. The mount sits exactly where the bar from the ladder meets the body, hence the thought I'd have to move the tire carrier a few inches towards the driver side.

I appreciate the pics.

Also, I do realize this carrier is considerably more expensive, and a straight sale is a possibility. I was just looking for a quick swap, as opposed to buying stock, then dealing with selling.

Now looking at all options, but if a trade is the best option, I'll offer it in the order PMs were received.

HA I don't really care either way. Was there a follow up to your stripper story?

Well I danced with one girl who claimed she wasn't a stripper or a waitress, talked to one that I fingered once, and my friend got his wallet lifted from a pick pocket. Other than that, there was all you can eat beef and chicken kabobs along with veggies and rice. The food was bomb! All in all it wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be, didn't even see one titty. But I still had fun.

I forgot to mention in my original post, but I'd like to trade for a tire carrier and the 3rd brake light bar as well.

I'll respond to the PMs today.

Thanks for being patient, all.

Javier

Sorry for the holiday quietness. I've responded to all PMs, I think. I still want to do this since I'm getting angsty about the roof rack just sitting there in the garage.

Does anyone know for sure if a 35" tire will fit in a stock spare tire carrier?

Thanks...
