Jeff,
Thanks for the pic. The difference is to save in production cost without losing function. The stock are a post inset into a pipe then welded by a sleeve, then affixed to the bumper... Very time consuming and in order to meet qouted price this was a different configuration. That being said there are still a few of these left and let me stress again that the shop has no more interest in making any of these. The would consider making them out of square tubing but at a higher cost as well. They are honoring their initial qouted cost but have taken it in the eye on making these.
Please PM if you interested in one.

Up for sale is one ROW 110 Step bumper and the accompanying jig used to make the 110 step bumpers. Price is $1,550 shipped. As you can tell from this email string there is demand for these and it is only going to increase with more 110s entering the U.S. Also the bumpers are for class 3 towing I believe (whatever the stock 93 110s were capable of). The shop that made them will not be making anymore of these EVER and I do not have the time nor experience to do them or find another shop to take over manufacturing these bumpers. I am sure there is a much larger market as I only posted the thread on this site. 14 of the bumpers have already been sold and I am down to the last 2 - one of which will go with the jig. I can post pictures of the jig...it is very well made. Preference to local pickup will be given along with a price break. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to add more selection to there current offerings or just break into the defender market.
Clay

Bumpers - We may be on again for the next round.
Folks there is a forum member who is considering taking on the next round of the 110 bumpers. if you are interested in the next round please shoot me a PM. He will be manufacturing these in house rather than what I was doing - outsourcing. So fit, finish, quality and Defender Owner pride are going to go into these from start to finish and I DON'T expect at all the same lead time as the last batch. The last pricing for these was $625-$650 I believe plus shipping. RN has these listed at over $4K for one. I am not sure what the new pricing will be but let's see what interest gets stirred up and what our forum member can do. I will be removed from the process once the jig is handed over. Thanks to all you guys who already ordered these and got the ball rolling for everyone else with a 110.

OK looks like this is going to happen. minimum run will be 10 but I think we can get a magic number of 8. Process will start with a $250 deposit. The deposit is refundable if there is no interest generated but so far some of you have shot me PMs about them so follow through and we can get this kicked off. Shoot me a PM for details. The lead time will not be 8 months like the last run as we now have a rover enthusiast and builder doing these so I expect tighter tolerances during the build and better overall fitment. I would like to thank the folks that bought the first batch again as they paved the way for this process to continue. the do not come with the rubber tread plate as you will have to source that OR talk to the builder about doing a diamond plate cover.
