Feeler: 300TDI, VNT Turbo, Ported/Polished Head

Well, the time has come that I am going to either sell this engine, or find a new machine to put it in. Thought I would throw it up on here and see if anyone is interested in it:

Details-

300TDI Engine, complete. About 20K on a complete rebuild.

Engine had about 120K on it when rebuilt. Rebuild included:

-New all metal water pump.
-New rod and main bearings
-Crank mic'd (in spec) and polished.
-0.020" over pistons, bored to fit
-New ported and polished head from the UK.
-New valve train components (all)
-New M&D 2.8L VNT turbo kit
-New gates racing timing belt and all pulleys
-All new gaskets and all that would be expected...
-Flywheel resurfaced
-New Clutch disc and pressure plate
-New Oil Pump
-New rods, bushings bored to match the mating piston pins
-Rotating assembly balanced to 4W/m

Additionally:

-New 100 amp alternator (not yet installed, 65 amp one is installed)
-M&D larger intercooler (A/C compatible version)

I can't think of anything else that I did to it. Engine was broken in properly and runs great. Oil has been changed every 5K miles.

I had it in a truck that is now basically falling apart around it, so I thought I would put it up for sale here and then decide whether to keep it and put it in something, or sell it.

I built this engine to be a world beater, and it does pretty well. It will pull my 20' boat behind the truck at 70 mph all day. We used it to pull the antique car down to Mississippi last fall and had no issues on the I-40 hills. All in all, I have been very impressed with the power it makes.

I have WAY more money in this than I really want to admit (anyone who has built one of these can relate). Asking $6k for it, but open to trades.

I also have an equally fresh R380 with a TDI input shaft and oil cooler setup that I would sell with it, or separately after the engine sells.

I should have said, I have receipts for the replacement parts and the go-fast bits for proof of what was done.

Well, I sit here stunned at what mad prices people are paying for nice rovers, let alone what they are paying for rusted shit, and fixing my old truck is starting to look real good. Sorry to say it for anyone who was interested, but I have decided to keep the 300 TDI. Thanks to all for the interest, if something changes I will reply to you in the order that you PM'd about it.

Cheers.
