I would love to know the research you did. It's really messed up (and your fault) for you to offer something for sale here for what you think is fair, then refuse to sell it. Ouch. I don't know which other forums you are on, but this isn't how you sell things here...

At the same time, I would hope this forum wouldn't rape a guy with 5 posts.

It's not "rape" if it's consensual - it sounds like he offered everything for sale for $1k and he had multiple people willing to pay $1k, and many who sent him offers for more.

Think of the good news. Now you don’t need to pounce on the "dealer" swooping in for the kill over the board member looking to retrofit his ROW.

I personally have no problem with the OP trying to get more money for his cage.

Good luck with the sale, and I hope you get max cash for it!

Josh, it's only consensual, if both parties go into it with open eyes... He clearly did not know the value of the cage... For any Heep, Bronco, Blazer or etc, a grand would probably have been fair for a factory cage.

He said he researched the value of the cage and that $1k is what he came up with...seems like open eyes to me. I have no problem with the guy trying to get "max cash" for his stuff either - it usually requires a little effort to determine the value of what you possess first though...

Cut the guy some slack Horsey, if he had taken money or told someone they had a deal it then it would be a diffrent story. Besides that is a big diffrence, not like he was off by a hundred dollars. He fessed up and was honest he could have just said sold or no longer for sale and posted it on ebay.

Can u just price it out now. I'm in need of a cage. I should start jacking up the price of my trucks when I need the money or if I feel like there's money left on the table. Let them fluctuate like the stock market....

Tim if you get it and don't need all of the under body cage supports, let me know.

Wow Horsey, you truly are an asshole. The guy was clueless and figured it out before a deal was made. Your "rules" you have come up with or think the board should live by is ridiculous.

I bet if Tim had gotten it, you would have bitched how a dealer with cash got the deal and that isn't fair.

Barry, you are an idiot. He said he researched the price, and $1k is what he came up with - can you not read???

Per the rules...that I did not make up...

No Horsey you are an asshole. He posted he wasn't positive. It was clear when he got 50 PMs that he under priced it. I stand behind if Tim got it you would have made snide comments how he swooped in and he isn't an enthusiast and would end up reselling.

more on josh's side

I am more with Josh on this one. I posted a dash for under value and when someone said they would pay me tripple I didn't take it but sold it to the one who licked it. so it was a good deal for the buyer I didn't cry about it. If you put something up for sale especially at this site you should honor it if at all possible. Karma. Just my 2 cents.

You have slightly more experience than this guy. He's not a rover guy and took a shot in the dark.

You must have forgotten this little post. It wasn't a shot in the dark - he had done his research apparently.

I guess I'm in the minority when I think that sellers should accurately list the items they have for sale, should research what price an item should be placed up for sale for and choose to price it high or low in that range, offer the item for sale in good faith, then be "fair" to those prospective buyers who are interested in the item.
