Exmoor Molded Matting System!! Set or individual

I have the following, brand new for R-380- Exmoor HD molded mats:

-one complete 3 piece set including floor over tunnel, seatbox, and bulkhead: $495
-one floor/tunnel mat: $295
-3/ea bulkhead mats: $95/ea

The following have minor issues:
-2/ea seatbox mat, torn just above the tunnel, $95/ea
-one floor/tunnel mat with a 4" tear on left side at tunnel (would make a good individual floor mat set, or use as is: $150

These are brand new, but damaged as delineated during shipping. I have pics of the damaged ones if interested. Plus shipping of course, or can deliver at upcoming events.

If so, then the buyers should probably read this below: from thread: http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...air-73001.html

Hi Doug,
I’m sorry to tell you but they weren’t torn in shipment.
The sets are manufactured from a bad batch of material and will keep cracking.
They probably won’t stand up to the installation process.
Fit for land fill only.
This is our first quality problem in 15yrs and I’m very disappointed for customers that received them.
Needless to say we have fixed the problem.

Thanks

Drew

First I heard of this- I picked them up in person, and was told damaged in shipment. Ironically, only a few pieces were damaged, and those in the same locations, so doesn't add up to me.

Not that you deserve any explanation by any means, but I gambled buying a few sets to make one good set. I lucked out, and had extras left over, and resold the good pieces well below what new ones sell for. I added them to an $8k order including a couple bulkheads, hence why I picked up in person. Oh, and also grabbed a chassis at ECR for my Series. Factor in 3k miles, time, hotels, food, etc and I decided to list the balance of pieces two fold- give other members options at reduced cost, and help offset cost. I had more request than supply, an indicator the prices were fair.

So, now explain what dog you have in this? And what business is it of yours?

I have bought, driven, built, and sold Defenders and parts for 24 years and Defender Source has been the hub Defender resource.

Now, why don't you read the rules concerning For Sale threads- and follow them!

And this frim the repair thread:

My dog... I was hoping to get one of those sets for myself... Offered on a enthusiasts forum with no other purchase necessary. I thought that others had bought them up and good for them... Nothing wrong with being quick. However when you buy them to make a profit, and getting a good one for yourself at no cost is making a profit. So I don't care if you bought a million dollars worth of shit to get these. If they were offered to you privately because of the larger purchase, id be fine with that. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The fact that you have been around for so long means you should know better. What's the difference between buying a truck here for super deal and then selling it a week later for double after throwing in a couple thousand. Just the scale is different. Nuff said.

Anyway I apologise for doing this on your for sale thread. I wasn't planning on saying anymore but you asked. I won't say another word about it.

Not to prolong this any longer, but I apparently either have a different perception, or we just don't see each other's perspective, or I poorly stated my logic.

I would not have bought any of them had I not been going there already. I chose to buy multiple sets in the hopes of getting one good set, which I did. I then elected to sell off the other pieces to folks who may need/want them in lieu of tossing them in the trash, which I also did, and they sold quickly. The pieces were not all that badly torn. I might also add that I got no special concession to view which sets I got , etc- and was even presented with paying sales tax as I was onsite purchasing! To me, I spent the time and effort and dollars to get them, sort them, took the gamble as none of them may have been any good, etc and offered up the left over pieces- if folks found that appealing, great- and they would buy them, which they have.

I am willing to offer the same to you, and will eat the time and cost I have expended- all you have to do is drive, or fly, or whatever- just arrive in person( I had about 3k miles, your's will be a touch more), and I will give you my set for free as a fig leave. I appreciate your apology, and I am not trying to spar or anything of the like- except perhaps make the point there are additional cost of various kinds.
We may all have bought an inferior product, but I doubt that the case seeing as how the tears are similar, and at the thinnest section on the same pieces...

Just for the record, I purchased the complete set from Dale and if he got it free and someone gave him $100 to take it on top of that, I personally am not offended that he made money or attempted to. I see nothing wrong with what he did, you could have done the same thing.

I will be bummed if the rubber turns out to be shit, but I don't for one second believe that he would have sold it if he knew they where shit. Why would someone risk their reputation over a few hundred dollars?
