Everyone loves Boost Wheels! Feeler post kinda sorta:

If I was to say be buying a truck with the beloved boost wheels on it... And was paying more than my cheap ass wants to pay for said truck.... Would anyone be interested in the wheels for say, $1000?

Kidding.

How about $400? Really not sure the value of them but if I get the truck I don't need them.

$400 is a good price especially for a whole set of 5 in decent to great condition if the finish isn't coming off everywhere.

Not sure on the 5th (covered and didn't look) but 4 are excellent. Truck is local and I looked at it this morning.

Are you always on line?

This may be the first for sale thread on a truck not yet owned, btw.

Maybe i should put my rims up for sale ... Before Doug has even bought the truck in question ... That would really create a chain ...

:-)

I would love to be second in line and could go higher after pictures and if there are five wheels.
Alot of ifs, but let me know if it does work and and gets to #2 in line.
thanks,
rich

Dude back off. We're trying to get the whole NYC crew on Boosts, and Jason has been the only holdout.

easy Josh ... if he's willing to pay more maybe their is a trade to be made ... ;-)

Actually ... my rims are inline for a friend who has some crazy disco rims on his highly desirable, rare white 95 SW.

I was not trying to cut in line at all. I just wanted to be second if things did not work out.
Sorry if I offended. I was not sure of the protocol of the licked/for sale, but I do not and may not ever own the actual items that I am offering thread.

Besides the odds on Doug buying are slim, based on the number of for sale posts vs actual purchases.

Offering to out-bid someone on a non-auction for sale thread is bad form IMO.

Then again this is a hypothetical for sale thread so I guess all bets are off.

I am out for the non existent wheels which are not actually owned buy the seller. Sorry for the trouble.
We still do not know if they are for sale, how many, or their condition.
Maybe a new post with pics if they materialize.

Wow - funny thread.

I didn't think it would cause such a stir. ha ha.

I was hoping to connect with the seller today but got caught up working on my BMW front axle and wheel bearing.... then had a trip to the emergency room..... yes really. F-ing hell car tried to kill me. Hardened bearing race chipped pressing it off and a *TINY* piece of metal no bigger than a pin head (really) shot out and nailed me in the chest by my right bewb. THROUGH my sweatshirt *and* t-shirt and lodged into my chest. Blood, more blood than I could ever imagine and such a small hole. Crikey.

End result after 5 x-rays and it finally stopped bleeding is it is small enough and not quite deep enough to worry about unless it starts to hurt more/get infected. So I now have BMW parts lodged under my skin for who knows how long, maybe life. Great.

Moral of the story: even though I was doing nothing "wrong" and was wearing safety glasses.... remember to wear them and be aware even REALLY small bits of metal can get moving fast in a hurry!

I am headed to Rhode Island tomorrow afternoon and will be there till friday on business so if I can't seal a deal tomorrow morning I may not know till next weekend (if he still has the truck then) I guess I got the answer though, they are still a wanted item.

About 99% on buying the truck - and it looks like they may be "deep dish" wheels.... Not boosts.

So who wants deep dish wheels? Sorry guys but I'd really hate to mail off a set of wheels only to have someone really pissed off!

It is a 5 wheels and they are in great shape with very minor scratches but no nasty anything.

I'll post a pic ASAP. But I am pretty sure seeing them in the light of day they are deep dish after a quick google image search.

Damn it!

Sorry all. If anyone wants them I will not need them as i have a set of wheels with new tires on them already.

That said if they have little value I will probably keep them as trail spares and toss a set of swampers on them.
