Defender rear door, puma lock
$200 picked up in Manhattan. Please pm me if you are interested.
Rear door off of a later 90s-early 2000s Defender in Epsom green. The exact year is unknown, but I do know Epsom was the original color. We can narrow down the year to between 98 and 2001.
The door has been set up to take a td5-tdci rear lock (included) and it has an aftermarket power door lock actuator. The power door lock function was working when the door was removed. The actuators are very inexpensive if for some reason it needs to be replaced down the line. The lock does not have a key. I can recommend a locksmith downtown who will cut a key for $40 if you bring the lock over to him.
The door is pre-wired for a third brake light and rear defroster.
The wiper motor is genuine. I tested it about two-three years ago and it was working.
I added a metal plate and tabs to take the puma door card and door grab handle without any major mods.
With the spare tire mounted to the door, it rattles. Without the spare mounted to the door, it is fine. This can likely be fixed by reinforcing it somehow as I am sure it has broken down over age. An easier fix would be to use a swing away spare carrier.
There are a few minor dings here and there---visible in photos.
It was somehow taking in water and dripping rust, which is why it was removed. It wasn't horrible, but I don't drive the truck much so it was amplified.
The glass should be replaced and needs new trim (in my opinion). Potentially it can be cleaned, but it has silicone and paint overspray on it.
