Defender rear A/C or heater ducts

ABS plastic ducts taken out of an uparmored 110 that had rear A/C installed. In very good condition, but a bit dusty (an interesting story...). In the 110, an evaporator and blower fan were in the rear fenderwell to the rear of the tire. There was a hole cut in the horizontal part of the of the fenderwell that the down portion of the duct mated to. There are directional vents on the upper duct. I can't find any indication of a manufacturer and have been unsuccessful searching the web. The pictures are of the ducts positioned, not mounted, in my 90. I intend to run a second heater core (and possible a second A/C evaporator) to just behind the driver seat in my 90 with a blower fan and use the ducts as a means to deliver (hopefully) hot/cold air to areas other than my feet (and possibly keep the interior condensation free in the winter - call me crazy). Anyway, these ducts would be perfect for a 110 owner wanting to add an A/C application that's been done before or for a 90 owner wanting to experiment like I am. $160 plus actual shipping. Items are in Salt Lake City. 801 707 6447

answer to seat belt question

The Mrs. didn't want my children riding in the SW's inward facing seats so I picked up a used NAS bench seat from a soft top with all the hardware and seat belts. I fabricated the support for the upper part of the shoulder belt and mounted it to where the roll cage is under the wheel well. It positions the belt to hit an adult about right and turned out to be more comfortable than I expected - though I have not spent any long trips riding in the back!

ECR has done a rear a/c. I remember seeing it on their web site. They might be able to coach you on your plan. Keep us informed.

additional photos

Pictures of the blower, back of the duct with mounting holes (can access through vents on front), and color comparisons vs the interior of my '97 SW.

one set left

One set left - the one I said had writing on it - it cleaned up, no more writing. What you'll receive is as seen in the photos (minus the blower) $145 shipping included.

Thanks
