Defender Footwell Panels

Testing and development of Lelo Fabrication's first product is nearly complete so we are looking to gauge interest in our Footwell Panels. This information will steer production towards the appropriate options. First, some general information about the panels. They are made from .063 aluminum diamondplate (also know as tread brite) with the diamonds placed to the rear (inside) of the panels but believe this will help by adding some rigidity. The panels are plasma cut and then painted with an epoxy paint that gives the finished product a slight texture and added durability.

Below are pictures of RH panels for AC (no notch) vs non-AC (with notch for hood release) along with a 94 LH panel installed. The small window cutout you see in the RH panels is to enable you to see the ECU Code Reader and will not be present in 95/97 panels. We will get more photos of additional panel options once they have been painted. All panels will also include the small angle piece that slides between the lower dash and bulkhead and holds the top in place. For most, these pieces seem to be missing or just beat up!

Because of the AC vs Non-AC options, the panels will be sold individually. Pricing will be $55/side plus shipping and handling and we expect the first panels will be ready to ship by Feb 11. For those in the NoVa area, transport to HH will be provided at no cost and we are happy to help with any shipments via RURR.

Please let us know if you are interested along with what configuration you are looking for. Currently we have only been able to test fit in NAS trucks but are hoping to perform testing in ROW trucks soon.

yes, put me down for 2 sets. But the 110 is a NAS so it has factory A/C (not the kind that was on the 90s). So not sure which panel I need.

Make a third brake light out of sheet metal. We all need one. Use an LED strip for the light just make the housing in 2 pieces.

These look good. Did safaridust fold up shop?

Also for what it's worth as far as material goes I had Len make me two sets. In my 90 I have stainless and in my 110 I had aluminum. Both were good.

I think he got too busy with other stuff to continue SafariDust. It took me a few tries to get his attention on the rear LED lights, until I told him I was going to do it on my own...then he responded. He hasn't been on here since then, and has been unresponsive to me and others again.

These do look really nice. Great job, Jeff!
