Hi Jeff,

Please put me down for the left side panel for a LHD ROW truck? I replaced my cardboard w thick rubber but that too is now shot. Need metal!

Thanks,

I just received a roll of Thermotec to use as a heat liner. Going to try and line this weekend.

Honestly, can someone explain to me, other than covering up wiring etc, what is the purpose of these panels? I always assumed the trim that LR put there was just to tart it up for the US market. I've never had a Land Rover with any trim in the footwell other than floor mats or any wiring in that area so I am really curious what benefit would be derived from these. I guess I could see it being a good place to stick some sound matting, but why not just go with a product applied right to the bulkhead for that. Not trying to be an ass but am genuinely curious.

thx
D

On 93 110s and 94 d90s without AC there is a lot of crap ECU, relays etc. showing in the passenger side footwell, but otherwise I agree DB.

Thanks for shitting in my for sale thread guys.

However, to answer your question and as Ron pointed out, in the NAS trucks there are a number of connectors/wire and, in some cases, the ECU there. A few folks reported having issues with passengers (wives) kicking the connectors and disconnecting the ECU! At the end of the day, it is an aesthetic panel that offers a mild level of protection for items on the bulkhead. Some have looked into adding insulation or matting to help reduce noise or heat but haven't seen any proven advantages here yet.

A few of the nicer ROW 110's I've had have had the same cardboard "shield" as my NAS trucks have had. I've always been scared to touch them. I figure after 30 years that material is just shy of a mirage.

Due to material escalations from my supplier, the footwell panel price will be raised to $65 each effective July 15. I apologize for the increase but hope all understand. I will continue honoring my current price of $55 each for orders placed and paid before this date.

Thanks!

Is anyone interested in a panel for a 97/Auto truck in the NYC/Long Island area? If so, I will sell for $45. Due to a shipping error I have a brand new one sitting there!

This panel is sold but I do still have more being fabricated at the normal prices if interested.

PM returned. Typically you do not install a right side panel in an AC truck because it would require removing the AC and the AC covers most of the footwell anyway.
