I like the idea of making vent scoops that face backwards for when it's cold and I want to give my lousy Defender heater a chance to work here in Colorado. Maybe even build one that completely seals off the vent? Is that what i'm seeing above?

If you live in Colorado the snow cap vent is your best option.

Read some people wanted these with a vent up front too. That way the air isn't restricted.

Thanks

I like how the snorkel is one smooth piece. Nice work! Are you going to set up a website or ebay store for these?

LR - I got the hood scoop this weekend - but I ran into a few issues. I tried to install it but it does not fit. It doesn't fill the empty void the old one leaves behind (there's a lot of room around the edges) and the screw holes don't line up (plus one was cracked as it was bored too close to the edge). The front mesh was also slightly collapsed on one side. I'd post pics so u can see but I'm not sure how.

Can you please tell me how you want to handle the return? Don't get me wrong - I think it's great your taking the initiative to fab this stuff for us - but I want it to be right.

Thanks,

Wow. Sorry to hear all this. Don't worry about a return, I will get with the manufacturer and let them know the situation. I should have checked them before being sent out. I will get another set out to you tomorrow and do a test fit on one of the defenders here to ensure proper fit. I assure you that quality is at the top of my list. Tha is for your feedback and if anyone else has any issues please feel free to contact me via PM, email or you can call me anytime.
