Smile Defender 90 Galvanized Rolling Chassis with Puma tub

For sale is what's left of my 90. I am using some of the parts from my truck for my 110 rebuild, keeping some, and selling what's left. I would like to sell this as a package as I'm sure it could be useful to someone with a with a ROW truck that could use some work. It is located in Carmel, CA. Here is what is included:

-Richards galvanized defender 90 chassis, approx. 4-5 years old. This is a ROW style frame with mounts for 300tdi plus 200tdi mounts that I welded on and sprayed with zinc rich primer (which have no rust after approx. 4 years). This frame is for a side saddle style tank, however it currently has a series tank mounted in the rear between the frame rails. This was a semi-temporary solution and I planned on having a custom aluminum tank made for the rear and a small aux tank on the side. I couldn't bring myself to cut into my new puma tub so this worked fine for me. There is no rust and it is in great shape. I tried to clean it up a little bit but could use a little more cleaning. Includes a galvanized 300tdi trans crossmenber.

-D1 front axle. Through the span of owning it I have replaced wheel bearings and swivel seals but it started to leak a little from the hub seals recently.

-Salisbury rear axle. The pictured axle is not included, I plan to keep it for my other project. A salisbury axle that has some surface rust but no cancer is tentatively included but it needs a rebuild.

-Front custom shock towers and fox 11" travel shocks- approx. 3 years old.

-Suspension from D1. The steering box isn't included and neither is the LHD panhard rod mounting bracket, but I can include a RHD one if you want.

-2013 Puma truck cab/soft top style tub. This was new-take-off when I installed it 2 years ago. It has a few small scratches but is in great condition. Can be used on your SW truck with a bulkhead removal bar for a little extra room. Includes matching tailgate mounted with side hinges. You can have the LED rear lights.

-Custom front bumper. I made this a few years ago and is comprised of .120 wall DOM tubing and 3/16 plate. No recovery point or winch mount, I planned to add those eventually.

-Custom rear bumper/tire carrier/receiver hitch. I think I posted a thread on this a while ago. It's also made of 3/16 plate and .120 wall DOM. It uses a spindle from 4x4 labs and a pivot on the tailgate with greaseable bushings. Can be used with a full rear door with a slight modification. This bumper mounts to the rear crossmember and utilizes the two large jacking point holes, and also attaches to the rear sway bar mount. This bumper gives you greater clearance than an NAS style and also allowed me to not need to drill into the rear tub.

The price is $7500. for the above package.

The engine (discovery 200tdi with defender exhaust manifolds) can be included for an additional $1200. This engine ran great but leaks copious amounts of oil from the rocker cover and likely needs a full rebuild. I planned on keeping this and rebuilding it for a future project but I doubt I will use it anytime soon if ever at all. Unknown miles, I've done the timing belt, water pump, and rear seal. Includes newer alternator, good PS pump,

The transmission can be included for an additional $1000. I bought it as a new/rebuilt unit from AW transmissions UK about 3 years ago and has about 10k miles on it. It is a 300tdi style defender R380 5 speed and works great with no issues, leaks, or grinding.

Feel free to ask any questions or request additional pictures. Things that are in the pictures but are NOT included: mud flaps, license plate (duh), seatbelts, engine and trans if you don't pay extra for it, the D1 rear axle, the wheels and tires (I have some steel wheels/tires to include to make it a roller) Disclaimer: Using a 200tdi with a 300tdi transmission works, but with the 200tdi engine forward you need to use spacers under the front springs (which are included) and bump stop extensions (also included) in order to prevent the oil pan from hitting the front axle. If you are OK with using spacers and taller bump stops then there are no other issues.

Thanks for looking

Hey Mack -
You sound as bad as me. Endless upgrading/projects. You gonna put a Cummins in that 110?
So where is my old hood at this point? I see you upped to a puma hood.

cheers
tony

Hey Tony. I have a Gm LC9 5.3 waiting to go in the 110. Your old hood is in my shed and will likely go on the 110, the puma hood might be too much bling with the original ribbed roof I am using. Yes I am very bad with changing my mind mid project. I am still looking forward to seeing your truck done.

Front or rear? I want to keep the rear with the frame because it ties into the rear sway bar mount of this particular frame. NAS frame is different so it would need to be modified.

Rear Salisbury is installed. Just to be clear, there is no title for this collection of parts. This is for someone with a 90 that needs work.

Bump. Also have a white td5 tub that could be included instead to lower the price slightly. Have lots of other body panels that could potentially be sold as well.

I will lower the price to 6500 for the complete roller, or break it up with the following prices:

Galvanized chassis including rear bumper/tire carrier- $2700
Puma tub- $2300
Front bumper- $500
Complete front D1 axle set up for rhd or lhd- $500
